    Warlord left side parry/shield counter

    I'm new to this game and learning how to play warlord, i'd like to understand better the shield counter mechanics, so here is my questions :

    1) When parrying overhead and right side attacks, I shield counter and connect immediately with heavy, that's the better approach correct ?

    2) When parryng from the left side what is the best offensive, light attack, dash and guardbreak, just guardbreak ??

    3) Finally when shield countering from the left side, light attacking isn't just a waste given how little damage it does ? is there enough of a time frame to dash in the direction of the opponent and guardbreak into a overhead heavy ?

    Thanks in advance =)

    I personally always shield counter followed by side heavy. Unless I'm going for the guardbreak into enviromental kill.

    If you shield counter a left attack and answer with a heavy it's always a free block, that's why I was specific about the left side.

    hmm, wasn't aware of that.

    You could go shield counter->gb->throw down-> dash heavy-> headbutt->stab?

    from the left I usually just guardbreak and top heavy since its an auto block as you say. unless they are out of stamina in which case I throw them on the floor and do the jumpslash>headbutt>stab

    Related question to parry punishes, but I find myself sometimes whiffing the GB after a parry (not against long range classes). Any idea why that might be? I know it's supposed to be a free GB but am I pressing it to late/early or what?
