    600m Range is not enough.

I can only speak for PC Players, I haven't played the game on console yet. But on PC 600m draw distance on enemies, vehicles ect. It's just not enough, possible update to give us the option of a further distance?

It's a little silly, having such a short view for such a massive game. Keep in mind, I don't know anything about the technical capabilities of what can be changed or added, so this is just an idea..

Side note: How great is this game?! 77 hours in so far, how about you?

I agree, but if they did push out the draw distance (which I highly doubt they will) they would need to add in a more powerful scope as well. I've pushed my longest shot out to 610m, but a few metres beyond that the enemy NPCs in the distance disappear. The rebel scouting option doesn't help at that distance, either. You need to be playing co-op and have a friend spot them for you.

I'm glad that you're enjoying the game - I am too for the most part. I have a couple of days worth of gametime and it's mostly enjoyable once you are aware of the limitations of the game and work around some of the bugs.

At the moment I'm having the most issues with the psychic enemy AI which you become more aware of over time and if you are a stealth player. I've been found by enemies at night while prone minutes after stealth killing a Narc without a hint of suspicion and moving position some 50 metres and behind rocks from where I was when I took the killing shot. They found the body after I had moved, started to hunt me and made an immediate beeline for my new position despite my not doing anything since moving position. You have to constantly move position to keep evading them until they finally settle down again and start the process over again if you miss a shot or they find a body etc. It's a little bit repetative when that happens - especially if you are trying to complete a mission without being seen at all (i.e. be a ghost).

    I have a 1300m shot on Xbox
But someone was holding the guy.
Also if you tag an enemy and stay scoped in on them you can get over a Meter away and still shoot them.
I agree with you for the most part.
But really if you're 600m away already, going any further isn't going to make a difference.

The game has streaming performance issues enough already, don't think adding distance would be a great idea until they fix those.

i hear all the mechanic issues, but that distance feels weird, only because the sniper and binocular zoom gets you plenty close to a base at that distance, and yet nothing is there. It seems like if you can barely see it, then sure it shouldn't render enemies, but if you can zoom with a sniper and see the sniper tower or ground clearly, and nothing is there, something is off.

I've got a 706m shot solo. It was a 715m but for some reason only marked it at 706m. Anyway it was pointless to try and snipe that far out anyway. I had the AI at the bottom of my scope and missed the first few shots. Any further and it would be a guessing game on where to aim your scope into the sky in hopes to hitting them, unless of course you have a friend holding the enemy. I'm going to have to attempt that 1300m shot. I don't think it's possible, but I'm not saying it didn't happen either. I wonder what the max effective range is on a sniper rifle in game. If someone got a kill at 1300m then it's probably possible to get a 2 or 3 kilometer kill.

I do agree. I often zoom in with binocs, have perfect clarity of the buildings, but no enemies appear. Only after getting in closer do they pop up. Having them draw earlier would make life a lot easier. Having a scope with more powerful zoom would also be great.

As for the side note... I feel so sorry for anyone who refuses to play this game based on their preconceptions! So much fun, such a pretty game, it's truly amazing. It has far exceeded my expectations.

No idea where this number is from. Do you have any sources to this statement? Because I shot on PC a player at about 800 meters, but in general do I agree, that no one needs 338 lapua for a shot on 600 meters. Even for 1km a 300WM would be fine and for 600m the 308 DMR's would be more then enough and more efficient than bolt action rifles too.

Probably if another player spots further NPC's for you, the distance is further?

The big problem with open world games are draw distances. Not sure how the Xbox guy can get a 1300 hit kill on a console that only manages 600/700m draw distance for the game, Pretty sure on PC it's only 800 to 900? Another huge downsize for going open world.
