Disclaimer: I am actually enjoying this game and don't hate it, but for the amount of hype surrounding it and advertising done by UBISOFT, I wan't to vent.. I have picked 5 things that piss me off to no avail, there are more, but these ones ice the cake.
These arent bugs, these are game play mechanics, bugs I can live with for now.
I also have no confidence what so ever these will be changed. This is a vent, nothing more.
1. Stealth gameplay issues - If I shoot someone from 300m + away with a suppressed rifle and a narco see's his mates body fall, I am fine with the entire Santa blanca cartel going into alert mode but for god sakes, they should not hone onto my position, this is ****ty gameplay and goes against the "play it your way" feel. If you are playing co-op and you are on overwatch 300m away and your buddy gets spotted the enemy should NOT know where you are by default, that is dumb.
How it should work? - In the above mentioned scenario, the camp or base should all become alert with the AI going up a level in detection, but not KNOWING where you are, if you move closer they should see you easier IF you are ACTUALLY seen, not arbitrarily know where you are at all times.
2. Bodys disapearing - This one is just insulting, before ANYONE argues that its for performance reasons, its not because those AI entities are roaming around, using more resources while being alive before you smoked them. There is no logical reason why bodies should disappear if a player is within a certain proximity. This is clearly an oversight as body's stay longer when you are near them, and disappear if you look away.
How it should work? - Dead bodies stay until the player leaves the area, the area can be defined a few ways but the most logical way is to have bodies stay as long as whatever mission / camp / etc you are doing is active via the current game mechanics.
3.Miniguns - Every single vehicle, rebel vehicle, UNIDAD, Santa blanca etc has minigun with the exact same model. Except the APC
How it should have been? - Take your pick for a thousand different mounted weapons and not be lazy, I have no solution, this will not be fixed or changed. Poor game development standards or lack of time, bad management whatever, but no game dev would be proud of **** like this
4. Rebel vehicle drop off - Upgrading it to max arguably gives you a worse vehicle
How it should work? Let us select which vehicle we want and increase / decrease the cooldown based on selection - Just admit this is another game feature that was not QA tested, absolutely stupid design.
5.AI Ghosts - Specifically, SYNC shot ignoring line of sight.
I fully respect that the devs had a decission to make regarding AI ghosts, and I agree with the route they took making them entirely invisible to the enemy until the player is detected. HOWEVER, any amount of thought into this design could improve it -- How it should work in my humble opinion is very simple, retain the current mechanics BUT when the player orders a SYNC shot command to the AI, have them actually require line of sight AND while obtaining line of sight, make them able to be detected by the enemy.This makes SYNC shot a risk vs reward and will actually promote players using the GO TO command, to position the ghosts in better spots.......But lets be honest, you released the game in its current state and this will NEVER change
With that being said, I am having fun here is some extreme difficulty ghost play, doing my best to remain undetected, HUD is enabled because while I enjoy a challenge, the game is designed around the HUD and without it, its plain not fun.
I absolutely love the game but agree with every point. The only time I've felt rage and wanted to turn the game off is to do with HUD issues. I'm a solo player and wanted to play with no markers but of course that is not an option as you can't sync shot without them. The big thing though was last night and this afternoon when I kept failing a mission and I had no idea why. It was after many attempts and a few hours that I did a search on youtube and discovered that there was a time limit on it, which I hadn't seen because I had turned off a particular element of the HUD. This, to me, is absolutely crazy, I don't recall there being any mention in the dialogue or in the mission brief but for a crucial part of the mission to not be obvious is mind boggling and infuriating. There is much that is astounding for me about the game but the options for the hud seem like they were thrown together in a few hours. There is no point giving you the option to turn things off if you have to turn them back on to play the game. That is my little rant.
1. Agreed. But this will makes the game SUPER EASY. So this feature needs some tweaking.

4. Your suggestion will be a pretty good feature, but a little overpowered too. I like the idea to just run around in the forest for example, because i dont have a
car, and my heli cant fly off because of the trees. Its a great immersion.
5. I understand your opinion, but NO, HELL NO. If our teammates AI will be smart, this will be a great feature, but lets be honest, this is a huge, HUGE open
world, its almost impossible to control the AI normally, this is why they are awkward sometimes. If the synch shoot can be detected, just imagine how many
times the AI will f***ck up your stealth, because its impossible to make the ai perfect in a huge open world like this. Doesnt matter if you "make a possibly perfect synch shoot", they will just screw up a lot. AI itself is a great disatvantage, they are way weaker then a normal human person, so yes, its awkward, but they come up with the best solution i think to control them.
Trust me, no one, not even trained soldiers, can determine where fire from suppressed weapons comes from after the first shot. Especially not if you are hiding in thick brush. Indeed, suppressors muffle the sound but that sound won't carry as far as 300 meters. It's a slight puff and no one has super hearing. No, the problem here is the uber-God like detection of the AI. Also, for the sake of argument, sniping in this game does not even come close to the real deal. To start with they hand you a reasonable sniper rifle with an ACOG scope. That forces players to get real close, say 200 - 300 meters, which increases the chances of being detected because the AI have superview for some reason. Effective sniping happens beyond ranges of 800 meters, and considering how this game lets you search for actual sniper scopes makes this part of the game rather useles and flawed. The detection of players quite some distance away is flawed as the OP says. Stealth? Get killed often enough because of the God-like detection of the AI while you really make effort to be invisible and you'll soon just rush in hoping you'll survive because the game doesn't even allow you to be stealthy. FLAWED.
What I also really dislike about this game is the really bad hit detection. I am aiming directly at someone's head and after I shoot the game just ricochets the bullet off some metal. Result: the whole camp is alerted, they immediately know where I am and everyone gets killed. FLAWED. The same goes for when you are actually aiming at someone and have a clear view on the guy and a clear shot. The bullet decides to just ricochet off a rock you are aiming over. I got killed so many times because of this when using the grenade launcher that it is just becoming ridiculous. And for the sake of argument, grenades launched with a grenade launcher arm after about 40 meters of travel. Popping a grenade with the launcher over the edge of a rock in front of you is not 40 meters. FLAWED.
I like this game a lot because it finally allows game play I had on the PS3 but the hit detection and uber-God like detection abilities of the enemy is just ridiculous.
