I am ashamed, but i think this game is pretty HARD.

Yes, i am the only person in this planet, who thinks this game is a little hard. I never saw anyone complaining about the difficulty, according to others the extreme difficulty is easy too. I am playing on advanced with the AI, i beat 7 bosses, and i reached my first 4 skull region, and maaan, that region is kicking my *ss!

I think the game is very good (but it has a lot of flaws), so my topic is not a crying about the game, i want some suggestions from you guys.

    - 3 skull maps were really good for my taste, not too easy, not too hard. Sometimes was a little too easy, maybe.
    - My problem with the 4 skull map areas is the number of the enemies. They are all over the place, and they are dumb as hell! But they see through walls and stuff, its hard to manage for me.
    - Almost every one of my stealth approach is a failure, then i can shoot them in the face, or i can run away, but this is not accomplishment.

I am a little tired now, i hope someone can help me out with a few suggestions.
    Thanks

I found the hardest difficulty to be just right. On par with what back in the day was considered NORMAL difficulty.
The game "wonkyness" makes things way harder than they should be though, and that's probably what is causing problems in 4+ regions.

As for tips... Try scouting the mission area first, roughly plan the route to objective and clear it using sync shot, which you should upgrade as soon as you can to max level. You don't have to kill everyone in order to complete the mission. I think it's easier when you just try to sneak in, killing as few people as possible to limit the possibility of killing someone that is in field of view of someone else.
If you're seen, you still have a second or two to react and eliminate the enemy so that helps alot.
Other than that, just stick to the walls/obstacles and move slowly.
Also doing missions at night and shooting light sources helps with stealth.

    Hope that helps.

No worries, T1Rabbit! I had my fair share of difficulties while playing also

If you're looking for some tactical assistance, consider checking out our Guides and FAQs forum.

For some stealth assistance specifically, one of our community members created a video tutorial for the game's stealth aspects which might prove useful.

Max sync shot asap. and you can pick off three to four targets at a time. You can also take down snipers this way, as they are rarely accompanied by other Sicarios and almost no one bothers to check on them. Snipers can also ruin your approach toward the enemy base/outpost cause they have altitude and a wide los. Take them out first if you can.

At least you're not shooting someone's head with an Assault Rifle for 5 minutes straight.

One of the thing I love about this game is that this is difficult, but fair kind of difficulty. It takes you to try to gain experience and get better.

So yeah, take it slowly. You can do it.

I play on extreme difficulty with only the mini map on the hud.

Things can get fubar REAL quick when you make a mistake or get sloppy. Definitely very far from easy imo.

I play on the base Extreme difficulty and mostly play solo. It is definitely not "easy" however there are certain things which make the game easier or other "cheap" tactics that can be used. I personally prefer the longer range approach to clearing a base where I scout a base from 150-300m as much as possible taking out all sniper and alarms first if possible. The key is to be aware of you surroundings as I often use an un-suppressed MSR to do this as the bullet travel time is quicker this way making shots easier to perform on moving targets particularly. Sync shot is your friend when taking down a group of enemies clustered together but it is important to make sure you check the buildings they are close to before doing this.

Thank you for everyone! I will take every advice.

Im always using my drone (or the rebels) to recon the area, so i know where the enemy is. Of course, synch shoot is upgraded, its very useful, but the enemies are spot me somehow, even they are not even close to the bodies. Of course, sometimes i have more patient (this game needs patience!), and im successful at stealth approaching.
How many times you guys screw up your stealth? Maybe im just dissatisfied with myself, i dont know.

I wish you could turn on/off every hud element separately. I play on Extreme with most elements on just because I can't stand the heat maps on the minimap. However, if things go south, the damage model is unforgiving and I tend to lose quite often. It definitely feels it takes fewer bullets to kill me than it does them. So I definitely agree, there are times when it's too hard for me, too. I would LOVE to be able to use one of the easier difficulties if I could just get rid of that hand-holding heat map. Your guys already tell you when you're getting close to bad guys, I don't need the minimap coddling me, too ("they're not quite all marked, yet, buddy...").

Don't forget to use Binoculars if your drone is jammed.

Get into bushes if there's no object to take cover. Crouch, don't stand up. If crouching isn't enough, then lie down.

Remember that your guns have Penetration stat. If things gone haywire and you see an enemy is taking cover behind a thin object, then don't wait, just fire away. Bullets will penetrate through it.

I screwed my stealth many times. Especially I'm more of a Splinter Cell player. I don't snipe that often, I prefer to get close and knock them out.

    Good luck.
