I posted in Off-topic, sent a trouble ticket to Ubisoft, but have heard nothing back other than Ubisoft technical support doesn't handle forum issues.
The ban was under my main account, Force58, and said I had posted more than 5 times in 10 minutes. I received no notification other than the ban notice. Could someone address this, one of the devs or mods??? I could continue to use my alt, but having to input the image verification for every single post reply is getting real old. I would think by now you all would know I'm not a bot and I'm not a spammer.

Same thing happened to me. It says that you'll be locked out temporarily if you post too much. The problem is, that isn't the case, at all. It actually permanently bans your account and completely deleted ALL of your content (threads, posts, etc...).
You can get unbanned, but they permanently impose on you an image verification for every post you make after the fact. It's super annoying and a terrible system. The Ubisoft guy who unbanned me said that based on my previous content, he saw no reason that I should have been banned content-wise and that I was caught in an automated ban system.
For some reason, there seems to be a bug after an automatic ban with it that sometimes your account gets flagged for shadowban. There's a lot of side-effects that are super buggy. Shadowbans are where only YOU see your content, and no one else does. Twice I've had to have them un-shadowban my account ever since the initial automatic ban.

This happened to me as well on my old account. The forum was acting shady and I didn't think a post was going through so I spammed the reply button a couple of times and it banned me. I didn't mean to post 5 times, I was trying to get the site to do something besides freeze up.
Thanks for all the suggestions. Glad to see I'm not the only one with the problem. It sucks as I want my old account back. I PM'd Matt so we'll see what happens. He's the 3rd mod I've PM'd so maybe they're tired of hearing from me. I've also posted in off-topic as well. A lot of agent types have responded, but no mods/devs. Sigh.
