I'm starting to get quite annoyed by the suppressor bug in co-op. 80% of the time when I have suppressor on, it doesn't show up for my friends and fires unsuppressed for them. In my game however, it's normal. The issue is that enemies also react to the shots as if they were unsuppressed while playing co-op. This totally ruins the stealth of the game, when we sneak up to a base and start picking targets, and suddenly we are being hunted and my friends tell me I was firing with no suppressor. No issue when playing solo.
So far I have seen several others complaining of this issue, but still no mention in the "known issues" thread. It seems to only happen to the ones that aren't hosting, and seems to affect all the different weapon slots. If you manage to fix it so it's suppressed for everyone, you have to start the guesswork all over again after changing weapons in the loadout, fast traveling, being revived or re-spawning.
Anyone at Ubisoft aware of this issue at all?
No mention of the problem with everyone in a co-op session being kicked every 30min either...
ubisoft doesn't put it in known issue area until they under stand why it is doing that . They know about it.
Yep, my group has had this happen far too many times, we started "checks" before every encounter around 500m out. Really lame..![]()
I've also seen this issue.
90% of bug fixing is finding out why it is happening. If the known issues list is only things that they know the 'why' of, that would be weird. It may not be on the list because they can't reproduce it, or they simply haven't yet seen enough substance in reports to describe the issue.
this has been incredibly frustrating the last few days but I noticed tonight that it may only be weapon slot 2 which is affected by the bug. I never noticed an issue with my other guns - only my sniper rifle which I had in slot 2.. so I swapped the slots and the problem moved to my Assault rifle, which was now in slot 2, and the sniper was ok.
Right now if I assume the suppressor status is a lie I have more chance being undetected - ie it's wrong more than half the time I check with my friend who is acting as the host.
Really? I haven't tried to switch that up yet, but I've had the problem with both the weapons in both slots. Anyway, "good" to hear I'm not alone in having this issue. Hmm Maybe I was too hasty to declare the pattern in that case, I'll play a bit more tonight and see if it appears on slot 1 with more use. If both slots are affected I think this bug is pretty game breaking for a tactical coop shooter. It happens so often I can't believe they can't reproduce it.
You can fix the issue
If you go into gun smith and equip the stock muzzle exit out into the game world and then press F to equip it, it will fix the bug.
rinse and repeat if it happens again
Thanks for the tip. I've been doing this so far and usually works. Sometimes I have to do it a few times for it to stick. But doesn't make the issue any better. So I do that, then play some more, then approach a base from different directions. I have no way of knowing if the weapon is suppressed as my fiends can't check for me.
