I just realized that if i setup my uplay in to "ALWAYS OFFLINE" i can play this game just fine. If you want to be doublesure disable your internet connection completely so it doesn't have any connection to ubisoft servers.

Been playing two days without any problems without connection to ubisoft servers.

-No "Game outdated" -errors
-No game crashing every 1-3minutes

Bonus feature without internet connection +5-15FPS !!!!!! (unbelievable but at least true for me! Good coding skills ubisoft )

Hopefully works for everyone

PS . Activate "always offline" from uplay -> close uplay -> start game from the game folder (wherever you installed it GRW.exe)


This is not acceptable thought since it should be CO-OP game.

I tried what you said but uplay still starts back up, if i run grw.exe directly, i get the widllands loading splash, then it just closes, nothing.

I tried that. Rus a li-i-i-itle bit better... but I dont have any issues with crashes or perfomance even on my old i5 3470 and gtx970

Lucky you, Uplay won't even let me boot it in offline mode. Every time I set it to always offline it won't log in saying that it's the first time I've logged in on system. Waiting to hear back from support but it's taking forever.

I've had recent success running the game with Uplay overlay disabled. I used to get crashes every 5-30 minutes while playing.
