Vehicle Destruction Sniper Rifle Glitch? | Forums

Been using the HTI the entire game. I used to be able to 1 or 2 shot any chopper with LV2 Vehicle Destruction plus the medal but now that it's LV4 it now takes 9-13 shots to down a chopper. Seems to apply to any sniper rifle that I use, even unsuppressed. I can still use the Grenade Launcher to 1-shot choppers just not sniper rifles. I think Vehicle Destruction is glitched at Lv3+.

i feel ya, been having that happen to me... but, i think the difficulty of the area you're in may also play a part

I shoot and hit a chopper and it goes almost un-noticed, but when my friend shoots, it always destroys it in 1 or 2 shots.

i just picked up this weapon last night and noticed weird behavior as well.. (Playing on PC). I'll break it down as best as I remember... (I think I have 3 or 4 ranks in vehicle destruction)

- I acquired the HTI weapon for the first time
- I alerted the base by using it to shoot a generator (UN-suppressed)
- I blew up several vehicles (cartel & unidad road vehicles incoming reinforcements) with a single shot to the engine block.
- I destroyed helicopters with 1 or 2 shots
- I attached the suppressor (went into the load-out menu and applied it there, it wasn't configured with it on previously)
- I shot at a few long range targets to hear what it sounded like suppressed, I noticed I wasn't destroying vehicles as easily
- I removed the suppressor to see if the damage changed. It seemed to have the same damage with or without a suppressor after that.

Yeah it's super annoying. I used to b e able to take down convoys solo now it's impossible. I hope they fix this soon.

I played the game today to test the latest patch and it seems like this issue may have been fixed even thought it was not part of the patch notes. I killed 10 choppers all with one hit from the HTI and 4 VD ranks.
