    Does not save the savegame

    Hello,
I have the problem after which I had left the game yesterday, my memory was simply gone. I thought I could have made a mistake. So I started anew. 7 hours played the game finished. I have to start again. I need help!

Hi there, sorry to hear you're having this issue! It appears to be related to a file in your cloud save becoming corrupted.

Could you try these steps? It should allow you to start a new game without then having to create a new character every time you restart.

    1. Disable Cloud Sync in Uplay
    2. Delete save folder
    3. Start game and create new character.
    4. Do some stuff, get auto saved and quit the game
    5. Enable sync in Uplay again
    6. Start the game, It will prompt you with a choice between the local savegame and the cloud save game from the sync.
    7. Choose local savegame.
    8. You can now continue playing without having to create a new char again

Let me know if you continue to have issues after trying this.

Sorry to hear that didn't help. To help us investigate this issue further, could you provide us with a copy of the affected save file?

The easiest way to provide us with them would be through a support ticket, which you can create on our support site here.

The default location of these saves for both Steam and Uplay are as follows:

    Uplay PC:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<account_id> \1771

    Steam PC:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<account_id> \3559

If you are unable to attach a file because it is too big to attach, please compress the file into a .zip folder using a program such as Winzip which is free.

Once it's uploaded, could you let me know your ticket number and I'll make sure to pass it on.
