Just to say ... Great game

I am not ignorant to the flaws, but I am still freaking impressed with this game. My gratitude to Ubi for constantly delivering those incredible open worlds.

Admittedly the game just fits my bill, I`ve been waiting for this tactical shooter/third person/open world mix for quite a while.

What impresses me most is that, despite being open world, the mission gameplay has a quality (and tension) some linear shooters would be jealous of.
The shooting and movement (coversystem included) just feel right, trying to keep stealth up as long as possible requires planning, patience and skill.
I am frankly a bit surprised that having this kind of gameplay in such a huge and beautiful world doesn`t earn more positive recognition.

The freedom to play anywhere you want and make progress is another great thing. I don`t know many (if any) games that allow you to do that.
The structure of gathering intel to unlock a region`s missions makes perfect sense, and gives direction without limiting you to a linear path.
Since this a sandbox I don`t expect storytelling ala Tomb Raider, within what it is it works well enough.

Finally, the world itself is breathtaking imo. It looks great, each region is diverse, the lighting and weather system are impressive, the scale is insane, and there is good incentive to explore.
I often stop just to take in the scenery and atmo, I love it when games encourage that.

So ye, I agree about most issues people bring up and hope some things get improved or fixed, but -at least to me- those issues are quite meaningless compared to the positives.

Stealth is way too easy to keep up imo, there isn't a base in this game where I can't take down everyone without them firing a bullet - without using guns(div lure/flashbangs in HARD places, HARD). But then again I guess I am patient, and I did play a lot of MGS5...hehe.

I agree with most things you say though
, but the game lacks a lot of things. It gets very linear in ways an open world game should not. There are too few things in the world to interact with, too few vehicles, enemy-types, weapons that are 'good'... feels 'pushed' out too early. Just going around in a new area picking up intel, weapon parts, legends and documents over and over was not fun at all. If we exclude the story - which we have to based on the size of the game and the fact that it is OPEN WORLD, there is not much to do except getting all those things. When that's done, what do you do? I don't get how they could release the game with it feeling so unfinished. In GTA for example (open world) you could have fun and interact with so many things, this game needs a bit of that. Right now it's a VERY LARGE open world game without many things an open world game needs imo.

I'm guessing you haven't played a lot yet, your opinion will change....

Great open-world sandbox game. Have its flaws, but it deserve more recognition and appreciation. At least for now.

Been playing this game over the week and addicted to it. Love the freedom of approach, the challenge, customisation, and the world!

Some of the things require players to give time to adapt to it. Sadly some people just prefer barking first. The features and AI teammates are pretty handy once we learned how to take control of it.

I hope the dev have a great direction with GRW to keep developing it as Ghost Recon Wildlands, not other game.

And oh, please re-evaluate your microtransaction price and value.

I bet Ubi is OP as it seems to be the only thread that they've replied to

Yes, the game has some issues, all open world games do. I'm sure most of them will be worked out in the first few patches. I've since found workarounds for the problems I was having and have finally started enjoying the game with a milsim buddy of mine. The one thing we frequently have to just stop and marvel at is the lighting and weather effects. We were moving slowly through a valley near a town at sunset after a big rainstorm, the ground was full of puddles, our clothing was dripping wet, it was hazy from humidity, red/orange sunlight was shining through a bridge as a train rolled by....at 60fps high/very high detail, it's hard not to stop dead in your tracks and take a screenshot. Once the bugs are worked out, this is one of those games I like to SIP slowly with a buddy and just enjoy taking our time mission by mission. We spent an hour on one mission tonight. No deaths, we just wanted to ace it. Felt great.

So, yeah, ubi, keep working on those bugs no doubt, but the team should know the work done so far is being appreciated.

Good post OP. I wanted to write a praising post too. I'm glad you acknowledge the flaws but praise where praise is due.

I hope they add more things to find, more random encounters and random events.

Anyway, I know how hard developers work on these AAA titles.. well done to you all!

    Merci beaucoup!!
