Can we please get a different track rating system in the next title?
The track rating system in Fusion is poor and easily manipulated. You get two options, to like or to dislike a track.... If you get 4 or 5 dislikes then your track will drop right down in the feed and will be swallowed-up with all the "My Track's" before it has even been seen by the majority of the trials community.
If i was to message four of my friends on trials and have them dislike a track then it could knock that track off the feed pretty quickly... i would never dream of doing that to anybody but there is people out there who do this i'm sure!
The rating system in Evo was a lot more solid, you could only rate a track between 1 or 5. In this system, if i messaged 5 of my friends to rate the track at 1 star, it wouldn't have a major impact on the overall rating of the track and wouldn't force it off the feed so quick.
Just a thought and i'm certain there will be others who agree that the current rating system is shocking!

I would like to see a track rating system based on how your friends have rated a track.

I completely agree. Some tracks are just average and don't deserve a thumbs down, but not good enough for a thumbs up. Being able to give it 2 or 3 stars like in evo is a better option. And when you don't vote on a track, you're still upvoting it because the number of times a track has been played influences it's position in TC as well. Before the ninja section in TC, the top spots used to always have ninja tracks because 400 people would play a track and only 7 could finish it and they would all upvote it. It could be much more balanced with a better rating system.

It's simple. You have the choice to rate or not at the end, like now.
If you choose to rate, it launches a quick 3 part rating.
Decor
Driveline
Replay/Originality Factor
It seems too many tracks rate much too high these days. "Liking" a track vs. whether the track is good are 2 completely different things.
For the next game, it would be great to be able to block certain creators.
Change max track upload to 2 per week. This does a few things. Eliminates people who spam. Forces someone to care a bit more about creating a better track because you only have 2 per week.
Give every person the ability to create their own feed. Then the option to follow separate feeds. You are prompted when a feed is added to.
The like/dislike was a sign of the times with social media. It's quick and simple, but doesn't give the truest rating. You could even give each category more weight for the overall rating number.
Decor is 40%
Driveline is 40%
Replay/Fun factor/Originality 20%
Ratings of 1-5 for each, then total score to 10.
You should have the truest number this way. To make ratings move along, add simple animations when choosing a number...circle meter going up, etc. It should take all of 8 seconds to rate.

I like the current system its plain and simple you either like the track or you don't. If you are unsure don't vote at all

Some good and interesting ideas there Vegas!! Having a 3 part rating system would open up more variables to search by.
I can see your point of view Rekluse, the current system is fast and simple, it's just annoying when you see a really top-class track, that has a great line, great decor, lighting, Effects, animations etc, that has a load of dislikes... At least its fair across the board because all of the top tracks seem to have a similar number of dislikes.
I dont know, i just dont like the current system... i struggle to dis-like any track and would rather not vote at all than to dis-like. A bit negative for me

Knock, I'm not sure what tracks have a good line, decor, lighting that have a lot of dislikes?
As far as a dislike being viewed as a negative...it's actually the opposite. Disliking a build that has driveline issues, zero effort on decor, floating objects, etc...is doing a good service to the tracks that are well made. So, dislike often. The reality of track central is maybe 1% of builds are solid. 10% have some effort behind them and run well. It's just what it is.
Rek, the issue with like/dislike is TC isn't a popularity contest. Tracks should be rated on merit, not whether people like it...sounds funny, but true. Impossible Stairs or Don't Move...are tracks many people like, but are they quality builds...hell no. Case in point.

Some people just dislike tracks to be idiots, like a certain Saudi person, it gets him attention. Others do it just cause they dont like the person, I know several that dislike mine and a few others tracks on a regular basis just out of spite. Thats something that will never change.

Last night I was playing a track on TC that was just one long straightaway and you had to ride a wheelie down the whole thing. At the time 99 people had played it, and about 27 or 28 finished it. It took me a few tries with the roach and came in 8th on the leaderboard. I down voted it because it was just a stretch of road and that's it. Of the other 27 people, only 1 other person down voted it. Then I decided to look at replays to see how and which bike they used to compare my run with. EVERY SINGLE replay I watched was people using the foxbat, slowly flipping it backwards on it's rear fender, and then using the back wheel to drag them upside-down to the finish line. Why did almost everyone who finished it upvote it?

Oh yes. Please change the rating system.
