I'm an old flight simmer from way back. I've got a late '90s/early 2000s USB based Thrustmaster joystick/throttle controller I'd like to use to fly the choppers and fixed wings in GRW. My comp recognizes the unit OK; despite it's age and USB 1.0 config. In GRW's main menu; under controller.......with the JSTC plugged into my comp, all I get is a very rapid highlighted scrolling from top to bottom of all the controller menu options. Basically it looks like the game is configured for Xbox/PS4 type game controllers ONLY, and the presence of my old JSTC is messing it up.
Is my assessment correct, or is there any hope I can get the darn thing to work in game? TY!

aye would love to get the old logitech out but I tried and died lol.
I am having the exact same problem - with any controllers connected, there is a rapid highlighted uncontrollable scrolling. It only goes away when you connect/disconnect any controller. However, I have not been able to get any controllers to work at all, including an Xbox controller.
Controllers are completely broken for PC.
With the constant scrolling, check your throttle. Seems that full throttle is like holding up arrow, no throttle is like down arrow. Setting of 50% throttle might stop the scrolling so you can use mouse/keyboard in menus, if the controller is recognized at all.
X360CE is a piece of software that can map your joystick's buttons/axes to the axes of an XB360 controller and the game sees the 360 controller not your joystick. It was a piece of software I found when joystick support in SWBattlefront and Battlefield1 pretty much died.
