Nah. OP's suggestion is for when the servers are officially shut down. Your "option" posts suggest that an offline mode would be running simultaneously with the servers being up, which brings up my points about the hacks. OP wants an offline mode for the game in, again for example sake using Diablo 2 as a reference, 20 years down the line.

So here are you guys have been saying:

A: an offline mode to be running simultaneously with the online servers -There is no need for it there because the servers are still up. Anything you are able to solo now while the servers are still up, you will be doing the same thing in this offline mode if it was implemented tomorrow.

B: an offline mode for when the servers officially shutdown - Taking a look at Diablo 2 (17 years still running) and the current interest in "The Division 1", I doubt the servers for "The Division 1" will be shutting down any time soon, so 15-20 years later is when you guys are wanting this offline mode.

Do you guys not see how either of those makes sense?

This is what needs to be done.

If they were going to shut down the servers, id say yes. But i want them to keep servers open so no is my answer lol. I mean they cant just sell us a game and then cut the servers in a couple years and leave us with a useless disc. I feel like thats probably illegal lol. So i imagine they would open up some kind of offline mode if they decided to kill the servers completely

    Agree

If we have to close it down = Open Source it
If not = Keep the damn game going.

However with as powerful as the snowdrop engine is, I doubt we will ever get our fingers on it

I guess the next thing would be sell this title/franchise off to another big developer that will do it justice if they decide close it down.

I would love to be able to play everything in offline mode as well. It would be pretty dope if they could make it offline to play through the story modes and all that jazz. I don't think they every will though. The game wasn't built to do that.

Wow... been gone the weekend getting my Jeep lifted and come back to see where you've all taken this...

    1. I was asking the Dev's to make an Offline Mode - ONLY IF THEY SHUT DOWN ONLINE SERVERS
    - There will be no going from offline to online, and back again IF servers officially go down...

    2. No Announcement has been made, or insinuated that there will be an official server shutdown...

    3. Didn't expect to see Art defend anything but his own ego/agenda.... Thanks man.

    4. You have a point Merphee, no doubt, about Diablo still running.
    - But anything is possible, this game has got some major backing, and I'm sure the servers never will, but ANYTHING can happen...

    5. To the NO voters, please go back and read my OP, NO should've never been an answer In my poll, that's my bad. But the point of my OP is asking the developers to make an offline mode, IF <--- BIG FAT WORD, they ever decide to take servers offline, would you want an OFFLINE Version, so you can continue to enjoy the division, instead of never being able to play it.

This was a simple request from me to the Dev's, people, not an attack on everyone who has different opinions.
