i would like to have an alternative input scheme to the current one, where you have to flick your mouse in a certain direction.

This has some issues for me:

  • slight mouse movements are interpreted as guard change and you sometimes switch without actually wanting to switch
  • unlike on controller, you can not "queue" a position up, you have to flick the mouse in the right moment to change your block


So my proposal would be a second input method that would look like this:



If you have your mouse in one of the 3 zones, you will block this direction. This would be more in line with the controller method and this is the only advantage of controller over mouse and k/b (at least for me)
