    Let's talk Orders!

Orders split up into two catagories.

    1. Daily orders. Two of these come out daily and each give 300 steel and 300 exp. 14 of these come out every week. Takes about 20 minutes to complete each one on average.

    2. Contract orders. Six of these come out on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thirsdays and Saturdays each giving 100 steel and from 500 to 1500 exp. You can do all six if you switch out
the ones you already finished. 24 of these come out every week. Each takes on average one hour to complete.

Now sometimes two or more orders can be completed in the same match but this usually ends up taking about 20 hours a week to complete all orders. For most people this is too much, this is equal to half a job. Also doing orders is near always the best way to get steel and exp each time. For my part I would say this system needs to be changed. It is "forcing" players to play in ways they might not like. Maybe someone really wants to practice their dueling on one hero but most of their time goes into doing orders since they feel they miss out if they don't finish them first. Each order usually has three of the four requirements here below. I think each order should have one or two requirements instead. Helps players play the way they might like.

    1. PvP or AI. Forcing one of those is usually not a good idea. There is a pretty big percentage of players that either don't like PvP or AI.

    2. What hero category you play. These can be ok on shorter orders. I wouldn't recommend forcing someone to play a catagory they don't like for long. It's fine to give some incentive from time to time to play new categories.

    3. What type of match is played on. This is fine if it isn't forcing players to play hours on each one. Would recommend not forcing this on most orders though.

    4. Allied orders. This should never be forced. Many players are older players that maybe only have one or two hours to play and might not have a friend playing at this time. The game also does not help people to find new friends. If you click on other players you can only block/report them. There is no Invite to be a friend in the game (PC).

The last part is about how long each order takes.
Some orders take from one to three hours to complete. The get 30 executes or 50 takedowns ones can be very time consuming. Also the order to get 8 takedowns in a row without dying on Skirmish mode is extremly hard for many players to complete. Especially since the requirement is harder then what it states. You actually need to get 8 final blows in a row to complete that order. Sometimes on Skirmish mode which is really chaotic at times and it is almost undoable. I think most orders need to be shortened considerably. In my mind these orders should take at most two hours a day but usually only around one hour. Every player should be able to finish these orders.

You're not forced to complete the orders, right? So why the rage? If you can't stand a specific gamemode, that is subject of an order - simply don't complete it. If it's worth playing something you don't like for some Steel and XP, that's your decision.

I'm usually completing the orders on one evening, having nothing to complete the next day, so for me there could even be more orders or having the orders replaced by new ones even faster.

So, the lesson is simple: If you don't like playing something, don't do it! If it's worth for you playing something to get the extra Steel and XP, then go for it!

Good for you that it fits your schedule and you are ok with doing anything. Everyone isn't the same though.

Sure, but my main point is not the time, but simply: If you're annoyed by completing a specific order, don't do it.

Problem is that orders boost your steel income by a huge margin, with limited time.. yeah you are forced.

Depends on how much your gaming experience depends on earning some artificial rewards. If it's your main reason for playing the game...

well.. if you want to be competitive in dominion, skirmish or elimination.. you have to farm at least what 5k per character, before you can actually start enjoying the game.

Well that's a completely different point - that's an issue of the matchmaking system.

But I totally agree, that the current system of earning Steel and XP could be improved...a lot. I'm also the opinion that it takes way too long to earn Steel, but I don't think it's only due to how the orders work.

yep, that´s because stat progression is bad in such a game in the first place.
