Now Now Ubi, Its time you got a little realistic with your pricing strategy and in game content acquirement.
your game is overall a good game but do you really value your effects and gear that highly? was it your aim to make the game so intense on grinding and so focused on steel?
My point is simple, reputation should be an ACCOUNT statistic not an exclusive character one.. This would mean we can max other characters earlier and not have to go through the pain of levelling every single character up in individual reputation just to compete in every day matches.
This would also allow us to switch characters without feeling cheated. Gear also should not cost so much.. I mean really its a joke, you give us nothing but junk gear until at least rep 4 unless we spend steel to acquire better through packs.
108 gear costs around 15000 steel to fully upgrade if you were doing it from the earliest point at rep 3
Now if steel was only used for Gear id have less issue with the cost but you then expect us to save 5k steel for a freaking effect? or taunts? i tested it today because sadly i do have the finances as a self employed individual to do so.. but after finding out once you buy an effect it only unlocks for one character and then does not unlock for the other features makes me really pissed off,
so 5000 x 3 for idle/execution/emote = 15000 for just one character? get a freaking grip. Then you expect us to buy it for every character which becomes just a joke.
Mythic gear was the same thing.. absolutely ridiculous, the so called "Outfit" was an absolute waste of money.. there was nothing worth buying other than the effects.
I think with Mythic gear should look unique, similar to the unique weapons it should be an outfit that has a unique model that cant be acquired in game... (think cosmetic skins like league of legends or overwatch) It needs to be something good to warrant the ridiculous amount of money to obtain.
Anyone else think this is a little steep? for very badly done cosmetics and some mediocre effects or for maxing out one character.

I feel that if we are buying an effect it should be a complete set - something we can apply to whoever we choose, but the way they have it now is more about generating more steel.
When I'm speaking about this I'm trying to take the perspective of more casual players, and possibley the poorer ends of the community who mite not be able to generate steel through any other means than orders. Orders themselves dont provide a lot of steel.. each game only gives around 40 at max so isn't it a bit to pricey for something cosmetic?
Outfits i think we can all agree are the most pointless BS created, especially since customising thing your own way tends to have better results.
I dissagree with "the prices are fine", and could't more so.
1) The HELL, why do you want money for ingame currency when you can't even provide servers!?
2) what you get is worth a big pile of *bleeeep*. Look at those stuff, it is worthless AND very unattractive designed for most of it.
that is against the logic of everything
Yeah, you are doing it wrong. This is not pain.Originally Posted by Kurasamii Go to original post

You are presented with a varied choice of characters, to play or not to play, your choice, because doing so will be entertaining and fun.
I have been playing games with multiple characters for decades, and I have never once been able to have them all level up when I level up one.
I've played games where getting to max level takes 6 months and you can play 10 characters.
You know this game has been out just 4 weeks?
And you already have a problem with the 'pain' of levelling?
Boohoo.
My Steel is currently sitting at 12,000 from normal play, and do you really need all that superficial fluff?
Can you not stop and look at yourself for a minute, wonder why you have to have 3 idle emotes for every character?
Really?
lol
Do you have to have every dress for your Barbie doll too?
They don't 'expect' you to buy anything, it's not required. Why are you actling like your throat has been cut because you can't have rainbows shoot out of your characters bum when you execute someone? Really?
"very badly done cosmetics and some mediocre effects" - and yet you have to have them so much you feel 'cheated' without them and made this entire thread to moan about how much it costs to get them and to tell us how pissed off you are.
The only one that needs to "get a freaking grip" is you.
Totally agree, the prices in the in-game shop are absolutely ridiculous, considering it's a full-price game. If it were F2P, then I could somehow understand the high prices, but this is just annoying.
I agree with the DLC mechanic similar to R6S, it's good to not split the community in Premium and Normal players.
But ffs Ubisoft, I have to play like 7-8 days, completing every order, to buy ONE NEW EXECUTION FOR ONE(!!!) freaking character? Cmon, you're kidding me, right?
The bad thing is, I'm not encouraged to play new characters anymore, as I will face high lvl enemies with a low lvl new character. Moreover, it starts getting interesting with the gear from Rep 4-5, so this means playing around 10days full-time - and then I would like to buy a cool ornament and a new execution for this new char: Price - >10,000Steel. GG
I know everyone's gaming habits are different, but so far mine have allowed me to try out a few characters, level them to 20, and choose one as my main (Berserker). I am Rep 3 on my main, and I don't care about GS yet so I'm waiting until Rep 5 to get full gear (and probably save a set or two of low gear for times when I want to level the playing field). I wear whatever I scavenge from the battlefield or get rewarded with and haven't upgraded any of it.
I spent 15k steel for Thor's Lightning (aka "mythic outfit") and 7k steel for a hood ornament (aka "elite outfit"), and I am about to invest in an execution. I don't expect nor care to invest in cosmetics for the other classes until I just have steel burning holes in my pockets. So at my current rate I'll be able to afford max GS and some cosmetics for one hero per month, if I really care about this game that much.
Right now there are only 4 characters I would consider as off-mains (Warden, Warlord, PK, and Valkyrie). So the current prices and income haven't been a problem at all for me personally.
