Started the game, see order "complete 5 games with an assassin". Joined an elimination match. Im lvl15 with berserker, random teammates similar lvl. Enemy team? Prestige 10 warden, prestige 8 warlord, orochi and beserker prestige 1.
First game against the orochi was decent, lost, but a good fight.
Then I got warlord, he just used headbutt and gb and killed me with about 3 hits.
Then got warden, he totally rekt me (i mean he is freaking prestige 10 no life whatever) and we lost 3-0...
This game is supposed to be my alternative entertainment, when I bored of my other games. I dont spend a lot of time into it, I dont want to reach the pro league, I just want to start the game and get players with and against me in the same level. It would be ok, if such a bad matchmaking happens once a day, but I think about 80% of the games are ****ty balanced.
GG Ubisoft. I will not recommend to anyone of my friends to buy this game in this state. Who the heck thought mixing up noobs with decent and pro players is a good idea?
Either work on that balancing or implement a freaking ranked match!
I'm wondering what people like you do on forums, when you obviously can't read.Originally Posted by tonycawley69 Go to original post
He's talking about MMR, that the lack of is a problem.
Sadly matchmaking is nonexistant. It's a meme. There is no way to calculate it since as far as I can tell pvp stats get mixed up with pve stats and can't possibly be used, the system (even if it worked in the first place) opens the search range way too quickly from strict to unrestricted, and the population has died off so much that a majority of the remaining population is experienced enough to trash new or casual players without contest while said new/casuals have little to no chance of encountering anyone within their skill range resulting in further exacerbation of the population issue when they inevitably leave.Originally Posted by DrExtrem Go to original post
Not even trying to be toxic about it. I loved what this game attempted to do, but unlike other games that can get by just being "good enough", the nature of this genre doesn't allow such disregard for balancing, technical, and organizational issues. They could have probably skimmed by long enough to recover if the pve was as in depth as say, Dynasty Warriors (which is pretty basic as is). But when neither pvp or pve can retain players what is to be expected?
I am pretty sure ranked will be a thing eventually, but I don't quite believe they ever intended this to be as in depth as it turned out to be. What I mean is, if approached casually, the combat system is "good enough". But as we have seen with higher tier play, once people know everything about all the mechanics of the game, it turns into the most boring and ridiculous fighting game in existence. I don't think ranked will succeed since the core game play isn't competitive in the first place.
it seems to be poorly designed, or the devs simply didn't get enough time to put vital features into the game. Proper matchmaking will make or break this game especially for the "non-hardcore" crowd. This game can be incredible when one is matched against players with similar skill, the introduction of a well crafted ranking system could help to make this the rule rather than the exception. I'm not sure the devs will pull this off though.Originally Posted by DrExtrem Go to original post
Time will tell, but at the moment they run the risk of losing most of their "casual" players, as PVE lacks diverse content (needs more modes, especially objective based ones - heck even the first enemy territory was more interesting than any mode in for honor) and cannot motivate for long.
Im a casual player and i really dont expect to play much longer. I played the game, i think i won far more matches and duels than i lost, but i there is a barrier that once trasspased only find rivals that block, parry, counter everything and i feel like a doll at their hands. I dont ve time or the will to git gud at this level, i have a life beyond the game. I dont complain about it, its just how i feel at this moment with the game. Was fun. Well, maybe one complain, if all the players one, two or three steps behind the top players could somehow choose to play toghether maybe the life of the game could be longer for us. Sorry for my english.

Today was the day i did not have any urge to continue doing those orders. They are so bad and unfun..
I think it´s not long until i lose interest in the game completely, because there is nothing to strive for. I don´t see how good i am since there are no ladders and the only good modes are brawl and duel.
Where Brawl is almost unplayable thanks to twisted honor guys and duel people leave leave and right when they lose the first round..
yeah :\
The game isn't realy a pick up and put down game, you've got to learn your character to quite a high level and put a decent amount of time in. As the playerbase shrinks to the 'dedicated few' you are not going to meet as many complete noobs who don't know what they are doing.
You know there are two ways to play Elimination though? Don't see it as 4 seperate duels. Treating everything in the game as a duel even in 4 vs 4 modes is a good way to accelerate the game becoming boring. You know you can run off at the start, get a Sprint Boost,, an Attack Boost, a Defence Boost, then double team an enemy, tip the odds in your teams favour then hunt down the last couple of survivors. Some people won't play like this, but when you do, things become all about reviving , chasing people down, fighting back to back with your team mates, positioning, playing off each others moves ... it's a whole new world, and far more exciting that duel, duel and duel again. Embrace the chaos.
