I really like For Honor. Expecially 1v1 with feint, parry, deflect etc. But i think the 4v4 Dominion mode needs some love. I think in the long run the game needs a viable groupmode like Dominion to succeed. The game is not much fun when more than 2 players are fighting. You can easily tell that when you look at brawls. Pretty much everyone enjoys 1v1 more than real 2v2 and so ppl dont engage 2v2 but instead do 2x 1v1.

So here are my suggestions for the dominion mode and group combat:

  1. More interaction between friendly players. For example via Feats. That could be fire flask for the raider and a passive tier 4 Feat for the berserker that gives him a temporary buff when he is on fire or fighting someone who burns. Arrows fired through this field burn the enemy and so on. Maybe the bleed buff or something like that targeting an ally.
  2. Give everyone a lvl 1 Feat from the start of the game that helps this character fullfilliing their roles. For example, the stealth feat for the peacekeeper. In addition to that, dont show what heroes the enemy team picked in the loading screen. This way a peacekeeper can assassinate people early in the game and the team needs to look out for the Heros of the enemy team. Usually most ppl dont look for the kda of an enemy, so hide the enemy team or just name and icon in the kda tab window as well.
  3. Everyone of your existing Heroes is a duelist and frontlaner. That means that if 8 people fight on the same place they all need to be in close combat and the fight is chaotic in a bad way. Introduce new Heroes that act more like a backline for the team. For example a Hero for the knights that is called "Kingsguard/King" and is a weak duelist but earns your team 3 points when he holds a point for your team and is good for buffing allies. His team would try to protect him. I dont ask for a holy trinity but some kind of variation and a front and backline.
  4. I need to mention that revenge at the moment ruins groupfights because you can trigger it way too much. Fix that please.
  5. For 2v2s let me parry hits for my teammate. At the moment you just spam heavys and guardbreaks when you engage 2v1. I want to jump in and protect my ally. Just like that Shieldguy in your very first trailer when the Viking drops to the ground and he blocked attacks from 2 attackers for the guy on the ground.
  6. Let assassin classes manipulate enemies with debuffs instead of being a fighter like everyone else with fast attacks. And let heavy classes like the Shugoki grab his target in a headlock to offer free hits for his allies. Or taunt enemies as a heavy.
  7. Add more gear stat options. For example at the moment weapon 1 and 3 have 2/3 stats that buff revenge. If i dont want to specialise in revenge i waste stats here because i have to choose them second(on top of having just one other stat that maybe does not fit my build as well). On top revenge gain by injury is dumb. Replace it with something like feat duration or feat effectiveness please. Maybe dont let players revive others with full health but instead with low health and then, give us a stat that pushes the health after being revived aka "revive health." Maybe a supportive backline medic with sprint speed, revive speed and revive health with feats that buff allies? Who knows, could be fun. Or another stat that buffs throws. For example the time that the enemy lies on the ground or tumbles. At the moment revenge stats have a synergy other stats lack.
