    Panda Global 1v1 03/06 Recap

For everyone that missed this or is interestered what is going on with For Honor and e-sport i ll run down a few numbers for this tournament, again

First and maybe only important info: A Warlord won in the finals!!! named: Petemoo vs viTraxx (Peacekeeper) [Does this sound familar?]

Its been ~413 Attendees. I wasnt able to track down every main. Also a lot people didnt showed up. Anyway, the hero distribution, looked like this (rounded):

    Warden 16,6%
    Peacekeeper 14,5%
    Orochi 13,5%
    Warlord 11,4%
    Nobushi 8,8%
    Valkyrie 8,3%
    Conqueror 7,7%
    Shugoki 6,2%
    Berzerker 5,1%
    Kensei 4,1%
    Lawbringer 2,0%
    Raider 1,6%

When it went to the Ro32, there where no Lawbringer or Kensei left, same as the last tournament. Also no Raider managed to get into this round.

    Ro16: following Heros where left: 6xWarlord, 4xPeacekeeper, 2xConqueror & 2xShugoki, 1xWarden & 1xNobushi

Ro8: Warlords(4) Peacekeeper(3) and the last Nobushi, that got eleminated in this round.

Same as the last tournaments Warlords and PKs dominated this tournament again. There is no questioning at all, the last results showed that these 2 are defenitly on top.
Hard to tell if they are broken or op, or everyone else just to weak. I´ll leave this for others to talk about this.

    Some other observations:
    - Again a huge part of the players picked Orochi and noone made it into the Ro16, only 1 into top32.
    - The Valkybuffs had an impact, 2 made it into the Ro32.
    - Raider & Lawbringer are again the least picked Heros

Can't be. PK is super weak. Just ask all the people in this forum who main her.

    I love this:

    6xWarlord, 4xPeacekeeper, 2xConqueror & 2xShugoki, 1xWarden & 1xNobushi

That's the Top 4 + PK (and a random Nobushi) ! This is what every single tournament results looks like before too.

Orochi SO OP, never made it pass to r16 despite a lot of people picking him. He really needs a buff but no one sees that cause they are too busy getting noobstomp by the noobstomper (Orochi).

Raider and Lawbringer had always been the weakest. I didn't even need Tournament stats to know this. I can tell by game mechanics (similarly to when I first pointed out how weak Orochi is like... a month ago).

Also, I suspect Valkyrie will slowly creep up once more people start mastering her, she has a very decent well-rounded kit. She should be able to beat Nobushi as number 5 in the coming months.

pk isnt weak its just that to be super strong you have to master her with the orochi its different because his moveset is so predicable and his attacks arent as fast as other assassins plus his block is so slow to regain his balance that he cant block anyones light attacks. but he is great a killing ppl who are bad and or decent but in high level pk is great warden is too great and orochi is bad i mean not as bad as raider or kensi but bad

    ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ kensei buff

no one cares about ENTIRE playerbase win % stats. That's meaningless, half the people that play will drop the game after two weeks - newbies skewing stats.

A character should be viable at high levels as well as low levels.

Yet they keep nerfing him in patches. Just what are you doing?

If you think fighting pk is hard on PC, just try fighting her on console where you have half the frame rate.

As horribly balanced as the game is on PC, it's that much worse on console due to having half the frames.

I'm hoping they actually start balancing the game soon. I've shelved it for the time being. Hopefully by the time I get tired of Mass Effect they will have revenge and GB/Parry figured out. Hopefully they'll start fixing the cheese and removing excess power.

Honestly Kensei and Lawbringer are the two character that, IMO, are actually playing out the way they were designed. That's not to say that they could use some adjusting to make their entire kit a little more evenly usable (risk reward, stats, frames adjustments and so on), but those two are about the only 2 characters that don't have intuitive cheese in their kit to exploit.

The more cheese you have... the higher tier character you are.

PK's are so broken that their basic attacks are cheese... and their extra cheesy zone.

Warlord have 2 flavors of cheese as well with their spammable tech plus zone.

The rest of the "competitive" characters only have one flavor of cheese. Conq's cheesy shield bash. Orochi's cheesy zone. Warden's cheesy shoulder charge cancel.

I have a dream that some day Ubisoft will pull their head out of their a$$ and give us a game where we have a real skill based fighting game instead of a big of pile o' cheese.

Hopefully some day my dream will come true... though I do think the fastest way to get there is straight up fire the current leadership and bring in people who are competent.
