I can't possibly be the only one that doesn't have a problem fighting geared people with ungeared chars. Skill>stats everyday. And as far as the revenge problems go in 4s, stop being that idiot that runs around ganking and feeding people veng. It's really not a hard concept, usually when I'm in 4s (not often because it's generally terrible players) and I'm in my 1v1 and "Jonny kill hungry" comes over and starts spamming on my opponent I just step back and watch you get killed after you feed him veng. Side note try learning some coordination. Revenge is easily countered by a throw into wall into overhead, well when your teammates aren't spamming lights into your back.

I am working on my second character. I am rep level 3 valk with a 50 gear score. The rest of my teammates were grey gear score. We were matched up against all 108 gear scores. We beat the crap out of them.

I'm rep lvl 5 108 gear score on my zerker and I've been beaten by people with no gear.

I watched a rep level 12 willfully play with a 0 gear score and stomp all over people with 108 gear scores.

Luck > skill > gear

Rep 6 (108) Conqueror, and I don't mind leveling new characters. I haven't done it a lot but I don't get rattled by GS, I have had people beat me on Conq. who weren't even Rep1 but really good at their class. Conversely playing my Warden (level 16?) I have beat people with much higher GS than me. The GS crying here on the forums makes it out to be a much larger issue than it really is. Sure there are some advantages, and some need to be tweaked, but having a higher GS does not equal victory in all circumstances. In fact this weekend I am starting a Shugoki and am not concerned one bit about the players levels I'll be facing on him. And I'm sure I will get stomped here and there but my understanding of the game will keep that to a minimum.

I don't have a problem dealing with high gear score peeps, but the rest of my team seems to think it's a good idea to wildly wail on the guy with a maxed out revenge build. That's the only time it becomes an issue.

Yeah on my Conqueror when people jump me like that the revenge train goes into effect. It's not uncommon for me to have it pop 3 or more times in a row as I just sit there and block all their spam. Part of me feels a little guilty(not really) but if they would back off it wouldn't be that effective, especially against someone who is used to blocking attacks from 3 or 4 directions. I guess I maybe a little bit of a closet masochist because since the beta I never back down from being out numbered sometimes run towards it. Which gets me killed alot but damn if it hasn't made me a better player when people fight me 1v1, and I'm just average at the game.

I do wonder why people don't see the giant glowing yellow person who now has unlimited stamina as a danger sign, and instead take it as an invitation to huddle round as close as possible so the spammed area attacks can destroy all of them in a few seconds. Still, not complaining ... have taken down 2 or 3 people more times than I can count since I got my gear up to 78.
