Shugoki needs nerf in team gametypes [Including videos]

I understand and agree that the Disabler class should be able to disable enemies for a certain period of time. However, speaking of the Shugoki, that seems rather overpowered, cheap and overly rewarding. Especially, when there are two on the Shugoki's side, since then the other player can simply guard break the opponent and the Shugoki can simply rush at him and break his back. Even, if the enemy successfully counter guard breaks he's still completely open for the Shugoki's rush, which seems rather unfair.

That's where the Lawbringer has a better design, since he only throws players over his back, but does not hurt them. I think, I don't need to speak about the one shot kill, which is the most ridiculous move in this game when specifically talking about team situations. When you face two Shugokis they can without any risks spam the rush, once you counter guard break or get guard broken, which is even more unfair.

Ways of balancing the rush could be:
    - Changing it to an interruptable move would help the problem immensly
    - No damage
    - Shorter catching range

    Thanks for reading.

    Dodge more.

That second video looked really frustrating.

One thing I've noticed is that whenever there is a Shugoki around, you need to target him. If you get guardbroken by the other guy, though, and you interrupt the guard break and immediately double tap the dodge button you will dodge away and get your invincible deflect from the shugoki demon's embrace. It seems to me that in all of those situations you could've escaped if you had gotten the guard break counter and/or attempted a dodge.

I feel your pain, though. That happens to me all the time. That's why I never take my eyes off the Shugoki when he's around. You can kill a Shugoki just by dodging him. He won't kill himself with the demon's embrace, but you'll win the fight just by watching him and blocking/GBC the other guy.

Shugoki design is, in my opinion, the One True Cancer in the game. The passive Super Armor enables a style of play you saw in that first video where they simply sprint around out of guard and either do their charge, which knocks you down into a free hit, or GB. If you try to dodge the charge, you either succeed or get GB'd. If you try to anticipate the GB, you either tech it or get charged. In no way do you win, and you can't try to interrupt the Shugoki because if you hit them, they just go through it and succeed at whatever they were going to to anyway, which is probably more damage than you just did.

The bear hug auto-killing when in critical health is also an extremely questionable design decision, as is how well the ability tracks an enemy, the fact that it not only does 1.5ish bars of health but gives the Shugoki health back, and how you can confirm it when someone is knocked down or if you throw them into a wall. In fact, in that last video, the passive Super Armor combined with the critical instakill meant that your zone attack actually killed you outright, because it did enough damage to put the Shugoki low enough to just outright kill you.

Something needs to happen with Shugoki, but I'm not sure what it should be. Maybe simply removing the passive Super Armor entirely and only applying it to certain attacks would be best.

I captured those videos about a week ago. Since then, I've always tried to roll away, if there is another guy besides the Shugoki. Anything else would be death. Even, if you counter guard break the guy you don't focus on, the Shugoki can still time the rush perfectly (You're unable to roll away). A team of two with a Shugoki on its side is unbeatable, if they're decent players. 1v4 is even more ridiculous, since then a Shugoki can simply wait for the perfect moment more easily than in a 1v2. Then his teammates kill you, while you're on his back and getting extra damage by his breaking move.

It's so obvious this move needs a nerf. I'm Rep 11, I think, I know what I'm doing. Still, I get into those unbeatable, rough situations countless of times.

in team game modes, this is what the shugoki (and the LB) do! that's their purpose. if you are isolated from your team, you're already boned, but those two characters will KEEP you boned. you should be trying to disengage as quickly as possible.

As a Shugoki main your tears help keep me healthy and fat, and you literally have to hit him once to turn off his passive, with anything, guard breaks, shoves, even his teammates shut it off and the demon hug thing is a huge gamble you lose health if you miss and all you have to do is side step it or roll and he will miss and take a 3rd of his health for the mistake if you've been pushed into a corner by multiple people you've already lost that fight regardless of the shugoki hugging you

I agree that the demon whatever should just do a fixed amount of damage, as it is now it rewards bad play and feels pretty stupid.

The rest I deem an issue with throws in general, which I've expressed in a topic myself (which didn't get any attention, possibly because it doesn't contain feet stomping and tears?): http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...7#post12409947

It doesn't seem like you understand your own main class, or at the very least you are disingenuously representing it to troll and enflame. Neither are impressive.
