Hey guys so ive noticed a somewhat irritating thisng in grw, and the only way i know how to explain it is to give an example. So say im up on a mountain completely out of the enemies view, i fly an emp drone down to a generator and destroy it and become hunted. Now the thing that irritates me is that even though im far away completely out of sight they still seem to know my location and hike it up to me. Is this supposed to be how it works or is this a bug Thanks guys!
I think it's just a result of the way the AI is programmed. "Hunted" means you alerted them, which triggers them to go looking in the location you were when you alerted them. It doesn't know the difference between you and your drone.
I could be wrong, but it's the impression I get from having played this, and other similar games. Hopefully they add some depth to the AI's awareness systems, cos it results in other unrealistic situations as well
It is even worse, i had unidad hunt me, yet they never spotted me in the first place, as they actually got triggered by SB people. Even if you sync shot the whole group a new one will just port in and know exactly where you are again. The whole AI is a mixture of god-mode and brain-dead, both enemy and squad AI. Currently i am more annoyed by "staying" undetected missions. Even if the guy dies .01 secs after the spots you it is a fail. Leaving dozens of dead guys is "undetected", but the split second he sees you it is a fail. The worst part is though that it is a missions with an ultra idiotic timer on it (the truck swap one).Originally Posted by Beastin_Brett Go to original post
