For this season, the factions will be Romans, Greeks and Barbarians.

Then for part 3, how about cavalry centric?

Factions are Huns, Parthian and Mongols....

Tell me about the Immortals
And the Samurai irl, all their war basically involve ashigarus fighting each other, while samurai are mounted calvary and archer that fight on their feets in rare occasions.

If you dont want Persian, Chinese or Indian could be good idea, adding more diversity into the game.

There is a lot of potential with where ubi can go with this series if they want. I like your thinking but your Roman faction needs a little work. The romans were arguably one of the strongest empires ever known. The classes you listed are just ranks within the roman army. And we're homogeneous in the equipment they used. The Roman army was known for its structure and discipline. Combine those with its superior engineering equipment, Calvary, and support troops( javelin) they were unstoppable.

Centurion= basically a LT. or Captain in US military. In charge of legions and it legionaries
Equipment: Shield and Gladius

Evocati= a soldier who retired or served his time but reinlists. Probably similar to a Gunnery Sergeant.

Praetorian Guard= was the Emperors personal body guards. Like the secret service who protects US Pres.

Legionary= the grunts of the military. Did the majority of heavy fighting. Privates in Army.

Triarii
Legionary
Maybe gladiator. They weren't soldiers in army but had many different fighting styles and equipment.
