    Lost all progress!

    All my progress is gone, had 12h and 18% completion. When i started up the game today im lvl 1 again with 0%, how to fix this?

    welcome to the club that happens to me every single time mine crashes you just can't take this game seriously it's ridiculous

    I included some sort of a fix for it in there, but it looks like progress is lost. As a safety make a backup of your progress savefile, then execute the steps detailed in said topics and pray they find a solution before you are so far in again that it dose not matter anymore??

    Probably the reason is in NAT, get a dedicated IPv4 from your ISP. All save's are on Ubi servers, as i know with dynamic IP there's a chance to lose connection and loose progress because of it.

    It is not nat, my other games sync just fine, one of the first things I looked into when I figured its the cloud syncing that causes prolems.

    Just want to report that I had a similar issue:
    - Game got stuck during autosave -> ended task with task manager
    - after restart only "new campaign" was possible to select, (no uplay asking which files to keep, or saying that any save file might be corrupt - no, nothing - just overwriting the files)
    - quit, sadly the local saves and cloud already synced an 0% all new progression game
    - only rescue was to deactivate sync, get local saves files from another pc I played on gladly yesterday, copy paste them, restart, load, quit, reactivate sync and only then uplay is asking which files to keep
    - so only about 5 hours lost from today - still annoying, as others don't have the luck to have played on another pc

    One important addition:
    The internet suggest that the local save files are located in following directory:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\ ... \2970
    But based on the time stamp, i presume this was for the GRW open beta. The save game files might rather be located here:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\ ... \1771

    @UBISOFT: 1) please add the savegame location to the FAQ or make a browse button for it in uplay
    2) solve this save/sync "race condition" or compare to an additional savegame backup on the cloud, etc

    Unless your faulty savegame wasn't already synced, like in my case, I recommend using Aiyakido's solution linked in his post above.

    I am sorry to hear that you are having the issue with your save games. To help us investigate this issue, could you provide us with a copy of the affected save file?

    The easiest way to provide us with them would be through a support ticket, which you can create on our support site here.

    The default location of these saves for both Steam and Uplay are as follows:

    Uplay PC:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<account_id> \1771

    Steam PC:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<account_id> \3559

    If you are unable to attach a file because it is too big to attach, please compress the file into a .zip folder using a program such as Winzip which is free.

    Once it's uploaded, could you let me know your ticket number and I'll make sure to pass it on.
