Bodies vanishing way to fast! So Silly

    Hi all!

    Please wildlands developers, read this!
Is it really that hard to implement algorythms to drag a body or was just lazyness? I mean, that's why a body vanishes as soon as the camera turns away from it, right? This is so destroying my experience. I was really enjoying the game on the first and second mission, but as soon as I've noticed this issue, I can't immerse on this game again! Please fix this, I'd rather have problems with enemies seeing the body on the floor, than it disappearing on the move of the camera! What a hell Ubisoft, how many games have you made already? Lookin like a new company...really, I'm not playing this game anymore until this issue is fixed. So please! Add a drag body mechanics or just leave the body on the floor but don't make it vanishes as soon as the camera moves!!!

That is not bothering just me, google this, wildlands bodies vanishing. It's destroying most gamers experience.

    I don't think it's a performance thing. It's carelessness.

Yeah it's pretty bad. I now find myself killing someone and looking away for 10secs so he disappears and won't be seen.

I figure I'll use it for an advantage until they fix it. Bodies should stay until you leave area. Can't be that difficult.

I think the days of bodies disappearing for performance reasons are long past..... and to be honest the only game I've ever played in my 20 odd years of gaming where bodies actually did affect performance was mount and blade warband, and then only when there were hundreds in one spot.
Those same polygons are walking around with AI driving them before they die, they're using less resources when dead

To me it seems like a design decision because they didn't get around to implementing hiding them properly, like the AI team teleporting is because they didn't get around to having them follow you across the map. Basically they ran out of time and did some things half-assed.

I'm not sure but I'm going to guess it is exactly the same on PC, then the question is why can't the PC version have semi-permanent bodies? That would change the stealth mechanics a lot without an ability to move them. Don't forget PC games are still often scaled and designed to console limits.

There are ways around it on a technical level and an effort could have been made. Maybe they could have had a long lasting non-ragdoll body shortly after the enemy dies, but then people would complain you can't move them, so then you add the ability to move them after the fact but... Making games is really hard, people, it is. There are many gives and takes.

There is a reason why they disappear quickly, it is not for nothing.
It turns out I'm a game developer myself, I mean, I program those to ANDROID, of course AAA games are WAY more complex and all, but I have enough expertise to know that it's not that hard to implement a drag drop body mechanics. I think that the reason here are two. One, deadline and two, since they didn't put a dra drop body algorythims in place, they decided to simply make the bodies disappear, goddammit I feel like playing a genesis games again, when bodies flash and vanish in front of your face...having the body vanish in the current gen of consoles is way beyond sillyness, since I love Ubisoft, I don't really want to use the correct word for that...just waiting for a patch and I'll play the game again.

I would like to see an option for bodies to stay around longer as well seems silly that even in extreme mode which describes it's self as a simulation that they disappear so quickly.
