    Revenge duration: Yay or Nay?

    Hey fellow warriors!

I was what you guys and gals think is better?
Less duration to proc your revenge more often or longer duration to have the shield for a longer time?

Personally I'm running with minimum duration, so I can proc it more often and get a full shield, but I just wonder what other players use and their reason behind it.

Minimum imo. With revenge gear at least half the classes can two shot opponents before they can stand up after a revenge parry. Insta win coming up more often is the obvious choice.

I have both helms maxed. One for max duration and one for max debuff resistance.

Debuff resistance is better, on paper, but I always do better when duration is maxed and I have no idea why. This is including situations when I don't even use Revenge much.

But in those situations, I still prefer duration too. Staying in Revenge longer sustains Revenge Defense and Revenge Attack more. While you get to pop Revenge more with minimum duration, you are more vulnerable more often.

Health lost when Revenge is down is essentially what can kill you in a sustained team fight. When it's up, you take very little damage if you have Revenge defense as at least a secondary stat.

Of course the popping Revenge gimmick that knocks people to the ground can be fight deciding and minimum obviously allows that more often. I don't think it's reliable though with good opponents who can feint. I'd rather just keep the sustained buff Revenge gives and rely on parries for the knockdown.

Even without revenge gear, revenge allows most heroes to 2 shot post revenge activation.

I'll post a video later tonight of me getting revenge in brawl, knocking down a peacekeeper and then doing 2 overhead heavies on him and him dying.

You get up in time to parry the second heavy. With revenge attack you can kill them before they can defend themselves.

I just won a 4v1 with minimal revenge duration (max attack though; minimal attack makes doing that successfully much, much more difficult, if not practically impossible), so it's definitely doable. When I'm able to, I'll try running a max duration helm with debuff resistance as the secondary (bleeds with minimal debuff resistance *hurt*). With good stamina stats, becoming exhausted shouldn't happen much unless you are careless or over extend.

    Duration > no Duration.

The logic is a bit flawed in this discussion... Duration means you are in revenge the ENTIRE time, why would you rather have a shorter duration and then "proc it" and hope to catch idiots attacking? You know that you are uninterruptable during Revenge, right? That in-of-itself make the mode extremely powerful, the startup parry is just a noob bonus. The additional Attack / Defense and "super armor" is what makes the mode powerful. Would you want 60 seconds of God mode, or 15 seconds of God mode followed by possible death for 3 hits, then another 15 seconds of God mode and risk possible death for 3 hits... WHY NOT JUST WIN when you are in God Mode?

Why everyone rather risk two to three hits for a simply noob-killing knock down is beyond me. Who attacks you when you have revenge bar? Idiots. Do you generally need help vs idiots? I hope not.

Your last sentence is why minimum duration is best. You're going on about winning with god armour, you know what's better than that? PEOPLE NEVER BEING ABLE TO ATTACK.

Being in revenge prevents building it up which lowers proc frequency.
