i turn voice and subs off there damn mouths still move
Fat chance. I lowered the squad volume to 0. But they keep yapping away. Its the same dang comments over and over. It is getting really frustrating. This bug was in the beta as well, where the AI squadmates would talk about the same thing over and over. Ubisoft, please do something about this!Originally Posted by Jewder Go to original post
The dialogue is atrocious and incredibly repetitive. One thing I know for sure is that if Holt were an actual person and deployed with my old unit he would have gotten choked out after his second unfunny military joke. In general though all the unnecessary military references ("Think they'd let me wear this on my Class A uniform?") are about as cringe worthy as you can get. Feels like a civilian wrote the dialogue after looking up military lingo on Google.
You have to turn the "Voice Volume" down "Squad Volume" is for player chat.Originally Posted by Chrizter Go to original post
I don't like them talking at all in coop, because they're not supposed to be there. It's jarring to hear them having a discussion when they're not even there.
However, in solo, I like hearing them. I realized that they say different things based on which province you are playing in, and which mission you have active. I like that, however it seems to have a lot of bugs in the code for this.
For example, I played co-op with a buddy, and helped him to do one of the General Baro missions, then when I went back to my solo game, that mission was unlocked. So now, no matter what province I am in, I hear the Ghosts chattering about General Baro, and it's the same dialogue. I hear it at least 5 times every time I play, because it won't shut off until I go and do that next General Baro mission myself. That should not be happening.
Worse still, I liked hearing the jokes Holt would tell. I think he told about 3 of them, all while I was playing in the very first province, Itacua, which was 30 hours ago. After I left Itacua, he has never said another word. I haven't heard any more jokes. Not one.
The ghosts used to, every now and then, say something about their personal lives-- Nomad's son, or Weaver's girlfriend, or something. Now, they say nothing.
They only talk about mission objectives, and repeat what catchphrases, like "You won't let me drive? After that one time?" which I have heard over and over.
But all the jokes and all the personal stuff is long gone, and I don't know why. Other people seem to be having it repeat endlessly.
