Seems LS is now filled with DPS TANKS with a shotgun. Lots of grueling battles and sometimes instant melts.
You guys hated playing half a team with the heal cheesers, so don't cry now that you're playing against people now.
The same folks that were cheesing surely had other op builds. Welcome to the meta, dust off your shotguns =]
i play utility, cap points, activate bonuses, and when the points for kills becomes active, hunt npc's down!!! mainly because 2/3 of the matches im laggy, but hey the team needs utility, the boosters showed the value of healing in matches, and that was also something i was doing dont need perfect ping to heal!!!Originally Posted by CJ Fresh Go to original post
Correct. Now in LS there's a lot of shotgunners.. but i don't care. I've an average build, not horrible and not fantastic, with 300K Thoughness. I'm a tactician, i cure myself, sometimes i seem Forrest Gump running away from them. But often i survive, with my AR i do my damages and i kill them as they kill me.
So maybe is a meta, but is not invincible..
TTK with shotguns is fine. It's the ungodly amount of flinch that is straight up broken. The fact that one shot sends your reticle to the sky is just insane and needs to be fixed.Originally Posted by CJ Fresh Go to original post
Its been awhile since I've actively engaged in PvP in this game so the flinch induced by shotguns was a bit of a surprise for me. I definitely pay a lot more attention now to maintaining range when enemy players are around in LS, that's for sure. But as others mentioned, there are other ways to contribute to the team than just killing. I got put into a match in progress last night where my team was a few thousand points behind. Being a late spawn, the game started me off with 3,800 shade tech so I immediately ran to the closest perk station and activated it. I even had time to run to the other and get that one captured as well. I guess the other team was too focused on deathmatching it up at Bravo. After having both perks activated, our team ended up winning.
So yeah, killing other players is fun and all, but pay attention to the actual objectives. They help a lot.

For full auto weapons, the scaler of firearms should be tuned so lower RPM = higher scaler and also maybe make the flinch animation dependent on the ROF, so that a SASG for instance flinches less then a slower shotgun.
