Disappointed at future content? Read this!

You do realise the amount of time and energy it took Massive to release 1.6?

The level of impatience you guys display makes me question your age and sanity. What do you expect from Massive? Tell you everything within a week of releasing (and still fixing) a massive update with new expansions and a new game mode that are merely 10 days old? Have you ever worked in any international corporation that deals with large projects? You don't deliver one project and then gather details about all future ventures overnight. It takes time, effort, learning from past and not to mention resources.

Half of Massive's team might be on holiday right now after working day and night and in making release of 1.6 by due date. You paid hundred bucks for a game and now you think you are a CEO of Massive seeking explanations, throwing tantrums? Calm the F down!!!

Sit tight and play what you have. Make suggestions to Massive and stop worrying too much about the future!

Seriously, are you guys 13 or something?

You said look at what Dev's did with 1.6, what do you mean by that?

Far as I know all DLC was done by same people who made game, I'd guess the incursion also, so what does that leave?

Now the Dev's are the ones messing with the values on things so nades going off before they hit and AI shooting through walls is probably all them, maybe that's what your talking about.

My point is that it is too early to gather all the details about the future content. Give Massive some time to breath.

Then why did they say no map expansion or added story missions? Why are the developers giving interviews saying its too tricky to add more story missions into the game? Sit tight and make suggestions? The number 1 ask for the last 6+ months has been to add more to the PVE story. They shot it down definitively. They flat out confirmed that for at least the next 7-9 months you will be playing the same content over and over.

Seriously, are you a Massive employee with a sad attempt at damage control or something?

I want you to know this isn't about the Dev's, they are probably just a maintenance crew who are their to roll content out made by others, I guess also work on bugs and glitches, so I don't expect them to create content.

Massive bet on the idea of the DZ being this great end game and even though a very small % of buyers of game like it its by far a huge fail, so those of us who wanted DLC to continue story and have sat here waiting are not to happy with season 2, Massive knew they weren't going to do what the people wanted but didn't want everyone to jump ship since so few are left so they kept us guessing which kept us playing and kept some hope alive.

Now I don't know about you but I invested in this game, bought 2 copies, 2 season passes, bought outfits, so I did my part and so did so many others, massive themselves admitted to make a ton of money off this game so instead of more story or even crap DLC of some kind they give us outfits we can pay more money for and then tell us they aren't doing anything with game at all . . . . BUT HELL, I CAN GET A STUPID PATCH ON MY JACKET SO PEOPLE LIKE YOU CAN SEE WHAT IVE DONE.

So yep, I think many of us have a right to be pissed, we were here when it had a 1/4 the amount of people it has now keeping this game going, this is their payback.

Maybe your the one who is acting like a 13 year old thinking this is good enough.

Let me guess, we dont have the right to tell u to get off of massives knob either? They are being greedy a-holes and they are getting called out for it, i'm not sure why that's out of line in australia but perhaps you guys should try it ( except with video games because they still manage to get away with an unregulated market that allows them to rip you off and then laugh in your face. I guess if i was a heartless a-hole i would do the same.......

I don't really have a stake in TD anymore so I'm not at all upset about Year 2 information to date. I still play casually.

Players do know everything they need to about year 2 content.

    It's Free.

There is currently nothing content related being added to this game that is worth charging for.

If you think that means UbiSoft is holding something back because the staff at Massive are tired or UbiSoft is generous, you're naive.

There is no 'hype train' to the Division in the Massive station. We would have heard the engine.

We'll all understand the situation better by the time E3 rolls around.

And? Do you realize the amount of money and profit this game generated?

The level of impatience you guys display makes me question your age and sanity. What do you expect from Massive? Tell you everything within a week of releasing (and still fixing) a massive update with new expansions and a new game mode that are merely 10 days old?
What we expect of Massive is that they act like professionals working on a heavily marketed and hyped multi billion dollar franchise 3 years in the making instead of a group of teens working on their science fair project last second because they spend the school year getting drunk on Bud lights.

There are still bugs here that have been around since day 1. They are still acting surprised about the community wanting things the community has been asking for loudly since day 1.

The heavily hyped DLC's; expansions and so called content the company arrogantly hyped as being way better than Bungie....fell short, disappointed and failed to deliver...massively.

It defies belief that you actually seem to suggest that a multi billion dollar franchise developer doesn't have an actual multi year plan for their multi year franchise because they are tired.

Have you ever worked in any international corporation that deals with large projects? You don't deliver one project and then gather details about all future ventures overnight. It takes time, effort, learning from past and not to mention resources.
Well actually...since you bring it up...I DO work for an international corporation that deals with large multi year projects. And this is actually exactly what you do. Usually you map out several years ahead making, in the very least, rough plans and outlines for future years. In fact...half way through the running year you start planning for the coming year in more and more depth....and start working on those features in more detail so they can be rolled out quickly...you adequately communicate your plans to clients and prospects making absolutely sure you clearly outline what is guaranteed, what is likely and what is uncertain. You know....so clients do not need to wait till you finally recovered from feeling tired from the previous year (this isn't actually a thing...feeling tired and slacking).

Half of Massive's team might be on holiday right now after working day and night and in making release of 1.6 by due date.
Well..I wish them all the relaxation and enjoyment. HOWEVER...nothing you said here means that abysmal communication suddenly becomes better by virtue of their employees being on holiday.

What they communicated was beyond pale....and they tried to sell it as something wonderful. And we don't fall for that. We don't accept that....and we have every right to not accept that. They are NOT doing us a favor with their time. They are making a product they want us to spend money on. This is not some friendly social club. This is a business. And if what they stated is their product...we do not like it. If it isn't their product they absolutely failed to communicated like professionals.

You paid hundred bucks for a game and now you think you are a CEO of Massive seeking explanations, throwing tantrums? Calm the F down!!!
We are much, much more important than the CEO of Massive. We collectively are their consumers. Their clients. The one who pay their bills by purchasing their product. The ones who will tell all our friends how great it is...or how much it sucks. And while we individually may not really matter for the bottom line...collectively we are the reason Massive and their employees put food on the table of their families.

We have every right to demand explanations and voice criticism.

Sit tight and play what you have. Make suggestions to Massive and stop worrying too much about the future!

We made suggestions for over a year. Most of those suggestions revolved around the various bugs that plague the game....or about improvements they could make to put the game back in line with what they marketed to us in the first place. We have largely been ignored. We have asked since day 1 for load outs....it will take them over a year for a game that hyped gear and build flexibility as its most important feature....and we have to wait another 3 months to get it to contribute to the 1.6 release specifically pushed for build diversity.

But what they did and said during stream makes it absolutely clear that whatever suggestions we make...they better not involve new missions, new map area's, new gear, new loot. Because they said those things are NOT on the table. So what kind of suggestions do YOU think we can still make?

Says the guy throwing a tantrum because he can't get onto a Last Stand match. THAT was a choice made by the developers to improve the play experience of the majority of players left and you disagree with that.

The fact is that Patch 1.6 is an abortion and we all knew it before it was released and begged Massive not to release it. I have an entire thread up asking them to roll things back to 1.4 (which was the best patch to date) and THEN go on holiday before they messed things up. Look what happened.

This developer is incompetent plain and simple and the lack of future content is because Ubi have pulled the plug because they are basically accepting the fact.
