Maybe I have a different definition of what 'fun' is compared to a lot of gamers, but I'm surprised by seeing so much negative criticism about GRW. This is by far the most interesting, diverse, visually stunning, enjoyable and most stable Ubi title I have played to-date.
Performance has been pretty much rock solid; not quite 60fps @ 1080 ultra (6700k/980ti) but close. Zero crashes, zero loading, zero drama. That combined with a very wide variety of things to do and see is the ideal open world game IMO. The sheer size is astonishing to me. I mean c'mon, 21 provinces? Hell yes! In the campaign alone I see at least a good 1-2 months of quality play time with little chance of losing interest. That is a magic combo that only a handful of games in my library have delivered on (Division, MGSV, etc.).
I know everyone's experience is different, but I for one am totally digging this game. It's meeting nearly all of my expectations and then some. My only gripe is no first-person cockpit view. Ubi, you proved you could do it with WD2 and you really should implement it in GRW, it makes immersion so much better!
Anyway, a big thanks to you Ubi Paris and props to your dev team and writers for putting so much effort into this game. I love it, it's awesome and keep up the great work!
(now if Nvidia would just release day one drivers.....zzzzzzzz!!! Nvidia!)
How refreshing to read a positive post, although I play on an Xbox I have to agree with everything you said.
I've got 40 hours into the final game now and only on my 4th area and absolutely loving it, sure there are a few issues that need addressing but I am hoping the future sees plenty of dlc to keep me coming back.
I rarely bother going around collecting everything but with this game I'm enjoying squeezing every last bit of fun out of each area and still going back to replay the missions I am enjoying. In fact today myself and a friend have litterlly spent hours just flying about and having fun.
Initially I didn't like the helicopter or car handling but I have reduced the sensitivity to 25 and I can land the choppers on a dime now.
Hats off to you Ubi, sort those niggling issues out and give me plenty of dlc and I will not be putting another game in my machine for a very long time![]()

The more content, the merrier. But please have a stand point. You started this game as PvE, so make it your primary target to develop.
Keep it up.
