As the title suggests, I've already found a rather frustrating and consistent bug during character creation. I started one character/save for playing solo, and I wanted to start a second to play with others. However, when I start the second save, the character model is stuck on the far left side of the screen behind the Create Your Character options menu. Further, none of the Right Stick rotations work at all. Switching between the sub-menus doesn't solve the problem, so I restarted the game. Didn't work, so I did it again. Didn't work, so I restarted the game and chose the third save instead. Still didn't work, so I performed a hard reset on my Xbox itself. STILL doesn't work.
I already came into this game with low expectations, since I played the Closed Beta and was incredibly disappointed with functionality and game mechanics, particularly with flying, which I wrote a lengthy and detailed article on during the Closed Beta. My limited experience thus far with the full game hasn't given my significant reason to feel differently, hence my low expectations. I'll be attempting my first flight in just a little bit to see if it was improved at all. However, I do not expect it to have changed, but I'd like to be wrong.
Suffice to say, I'm quite happy that I haven't actually purchased the game, because this is shaping up to be one of the more disappointing game releases in the last couple of years. Not AT the very top, but quite close to it.
I'll update this after a bit more play time.
