Except the servers went down at 08:00 EST and are still down at 09:00 EST. Does this mean it's a window of 2 hours, or is this a scheduling mistake? Is it two hours AND 45 minutes?

One little problem with this is, if you try to log in while the servers are down, after you get the error message you get stuck at the "Contacting Servers" window. There's no way to quit out of the game without alt-tabbing and a forced quit.

That's why i prefer to play in window mode.

I am glad to see that there is some maintenance being done on this game; however, a better warning would be nice. The Uplay client has a news tab. This would be a great place for you to inform your players about server down time. It would also be nice to be able to exit the game after it tells me that the servers are down instead of having the game screen stay there looking for servers that will not be live for another hour or so.

ubisoft don't even communicate with themselves, why we expect for they communicate with community....

I prefer Alt+F4 .. works like a charm with For Honor...

So.. Will the update be DONE at 10:00 AM EST.. Or performed(start) at 10:00 AM EST?
Seeing the servers are already down for maintenance and its 09:00 AM EST..
And the 45 minutes wait would be over if it had started at 08:00 AM EST.

Right. So if I'm in dominion and I'm protecting A or C I get kicked for playing in the small window that is those points? Stupid idea.

"Improved afk detection" Like, what did you do ?

I was thinking of a position tracker that would kick people not moving more than 15m from a point the game would pinipoint every 10 sec or so. So if you run in circles, you would still get kicked since you are runing around or close to that point.
Or just a points tracker. If you still have a 0 score after 30 sec - 1 min after match start then bam, kicked because that clearly means you're afk chaining matches automaticly.

And this kind of solution are easily implemented and cost nothing in term of performance or memory.
