I'm about 48% through the game with the majority of weapons unlocked but now I'm starting to dislike the way my character looks should I remake?

but on a side note a character remake token on the store would be very nice so I don't need to restart the game

I'm not sure exactly what you dont' like about your character, but keep in mind you can change everything except your face and gender at any time.

Fortunately I am happy with my character, but tbh. I am a bit puzzled why face and gender are locked ... I just fail to see any gameplay reason for it.

gameplay wise id think it was only 4 ghosts got deployed so switching gender and face might look like more than 4 ghosts are in Bolivia.
But here is my idea how to bypass the face, its a stupid idea, I helped the rebels secure tons of medical supplies so maybe I can get surgery to change my face
