What about weapons that are used by several South American militaries like Chile, Colombia and Brazil.
FAMAE SG-540-1M series (the latest version of the SG 540 modernized and produced by FAMAE of Chile)
The 556 version FAMAE SG 540-1M

The 762 version FAMAE SG 542-1M

And finally Famae's submachine gun FAMAE SAF 200

And now to two Galil Ace Versions used by Colombia and Chile
Galil Ace 52 (762) Colombian military

Galil Ace 22 NC NATO (556) Chilean military

And now to Brazil the IMBEL IA2 series

It would be cool to see these kind of weapons in Wildlands especially because these weapons are mass produced in South America and it might be common sometimes for these weapons to fall into wrong hands
Many people don't know that South America actually produces some high quality and reliable weapons for their military and since the game is in Bolivia basically the centre of South America it would be very cool to use these weapons in the game against the drug cartels
Heres an extra picture of a FAMAE presentation at FIDAE 2016 in Santiago
The picture shows an Galil Ace 22 NC co produced by both IWI and FAMAE and two sub machine guns the FAMAE SAF standard and FAMAE SAF 200![]()
I would love to have some of these guns in the game, especially the Imbel ia2. It would definitely introduce some new weapons outside the typical run of the mill guns included in games.Originally Posted by PSYKoO666 Go to original post
So truethis is why i made this post it would be nice to see some new weapons in a game it seems always the same lately and now Ghost Recon Wildlands is in Bolivia why not add all of these weapons used by the South Americans in their war on drugs weapons like the FAMAE SAF are widely used in South American police forces and the military and the Galil Ace in Colombia's war on drugs and weapons like the Imbel Ia2 in the hands of Brazilian commando's
And of course these highly modernized SG 540 series (540-1M) are very interesting not sure if they are used yet in any of Chile's forces i read they are already making them since last year.
Thank you for your reply glad somebody agrees![]()
Thing is, though, the M240 isn't used in the role of a squad machine gun and never has been, mostly because it's an absurdly heavy MFer. Yeah, the L version isn't as heavy, but it's not light by any means at 22 lbs without ammo. The MK48, by contrast, is less than 12 lbs with ammo. Best way to include an M240 would be as a mounted weapon, IMO.Originally Posted by FerroMortem Go to original post
Just trying to point out the newer lighter version of the 240 would be the better option if a 240 is added......Originally Posted by Ghost416 Go to original post
...and the 240L is being used at more of a squad level now (have a friend that was stuck with running one last year in Afghanistan on patrols).
I am perfectly aware that SOF guys tend not to run the heavier 240's but if one is going to be added into the game since it is a very commonly requested firearm it would be better that it was the lighter improved version than any of the standard 240's.
So my vote would be for either the 240L or the Barrett 240LW https://barrett.net/firearms/240lw/ as both were made to deal with the biggest complaint leveled at the 240, it's weight.
The FN MAG among other MG's should be one of the replacements for the current mounted guns in game.
Furthermore, the precedent has been set with the MG121 (already in the game) and other GPMG's in use around the world are a similar weight to the 240L, and Not sure where you got the 12 pounds for a loaded MK48 but it's 18 pounds unloaded and 24 pounds loaded with a 100rnds.
I don't think any standard of authenticity is something that anyone at UBI is concerned with at this point either (one can run around with two primary firearms, 500-750rnds+ and a plethora of grenades/explosives) so weight is a bit of a moot point wish it wasn't but it is there are currently no cons for carrying too much in game, I don't agree with that but that's the game we have not to discourage you from fighting the good fight on here.
