Why does this game seem like the Division in the Jungle? For One, I think the AI needs some tweaking on the enemies. They spot you too well on extreme in the dark. You have night vision and they don't, that really should give you a big advantage but it really doesn't for the most part. Also, the normal NPC villagers are so bland. In GTA, normal people will react to your actions. If they see someone with a gun they will panic, run, or pull out their own weapon and attack you. Nobody shuts their doors when you come into the village with guns out, they just mill about like nothing is going on unless you actually aim at them. these are living villages, but I don't see children or NPC's open and closing their home or business doors, no one protests when you go into occupied homes, no one is asking for money. The point of ghost recon was supposed to be the players to be stealthy for the most part, no disguises to blend in with the locals. what made open world game like GTA great is the reaction of the police and locals and the individuals you bump into that may ask for help or turn you onto a mission randomly. Interrogations should be a mini game, not just u put a gun to his head and they give up everything, or every time a fire fight happens, the leaders run for the hills. Some should fight it out to provide a variety. AI on your companions need improvement. I find many times they give away our location as they will move ahead of you just walking in the open for all the enemies to spot them, they don't do hand to hand kills which at times may be better option than shooting. there also needs to be a better distraction system for luring in enemies for ambush or so you can sneak past them
Also the missions all seem kind of the same. Cartels do more than drugs.Where are missions like you stop the cartel's prostitution ring, or stop their assassination attempt on some one. The Church was also be heavily involved in resisting these cartels based on the role religion is in the real world of Bolivia. Where is missions like saving a priest from the cartel's wrath or the missions of helping townsfolk remove cartels members from their villages. I know this is not the craziness of GTA, but a lot of their elements make the open world seem more alive and vibrant. Add more animals, and bugs, you are in a semi tropical region
Lastly, the controls for flying and driving definitely could use improvement. Nothing handles good in the game. The helicopters mechanics are not that good, and combat using them when not in co-op is useless. Cars and trucks do not handle well when you are making turns during normal driving or in pursuits.
