I've picked up a few weapon parts recently, specifically the assault rifle extended mag and laser, and I am not able to equip them and they still show locked. When I look at the area I got them from it shows that I have collected all weapon parts, however the gun smith shows them still locked. Anyone had this issue?

Actually I have had a similar issue. the extended magazine (30 round) I picked up in La Cruz has not registered in my inventory despite the fact Ive cleared that region of goodies

the extended magazines and lasers you pick up do not effect every gun as different weapons use different magazine types and laser types (some rifles use 5.56 STANAG, the P416 uses 5.56 PMAG, both the AK12 and 47 use 7.62x39 mags).
in La Cruz you can pick up both the 7.62x39 extended magazines.
you get the 5.56 STANAG (30) in Mojocoyo and (50) in Libertad
and I got the 5.56 PMAG somewhere up north.

the same is for the lasers, I picked up the D3 laser for side arms in Montuyo, but the rifle version is in Barvechos
