So yesterday's SOTG was .... underwhelming. If there's anything that can be said about The Division is that just about every type of player wants MORE stuff, be it in PVP, PVE, solo or group. While it's not completely reasonable to ask for subscription levels of content, I do believe that it shows that most people who've played this game have had a rather good time at one time or another and thus the whole community's desire for more EVERYTHING in the game. More missions, more (and better) incursions, more DZ, more PVP, more LZ stuff... Just more of it.
I assume there will be a TD2 at some stage and my hope is that it will bring a LOT more of everything, but in the meantime and until anything in that regard is announced, and if this will come to be it'll doubtlessly be in at least 18 months IMO, we have some rather slim pickings in this Y2. Matt was great yesterday pointing out that not everything was announced that's going to be part of Y2, so there's a bit of hope here, so I thought it'd be perhaps a good idea to toss about a few "easy wins" that could be added to the game in this Y2 in order to extend its appeal.
- Add Blueprints. This one's a no-brainer, really. A lot of weapons (L86, 256, LVOAC ....) don't have a 256 BP. Surely adding a "month special" BP, price it at 5000 if you want, is doable and doesn't require a LOT of effort.
- Add a 5th character slot. Crazy, I know, but I could perhaps level a final, 5th character.
- Add more Exotic weapons/items/mods. Again, not something that would break the bank in terms of costs.
- Add LZ bosses, hunters included. I mean ... Why not?
- Add hunter packs in the DZ. Random spawns or whatever, but this could be fun IMO.
Any more ideas anyone? I understand there's a sense of disappointment regarding Y2 since we were all, I'm a VERY satisfied customer with TD and I really expected more in Y2, hoping for more stuff to do, but perhaps some of these could eventually find their way in? Thus my idea of bouncing cheap-ish ideas of content to be added.
Happy Hunting all!
I agree with all these points some nice ideas , id like to see hunters in the DZ also massive contracts on the heads of agents with manhunt status treat is as a mini event to all in said server there could be a board in DZ checkpoint like hvt targets the prizes for fulfilling a contract is exotics or BP's/ PC or cash , I PvP exclusively in this game now I thoroughly enjoy it's different I kill Rouges and go rouge alot , I'd like to see a way fuller lz with landmarks with the ability to see other players there full on pve ... I do love this game 😀
More of the same from last night the Rogue First wave Division agent side mission, twice a week if it appeared last night then have this through out year 2. ok it was short but it was something NEW in the LZ.
Timed rescue missions.
Sad thing is there was a thread done throughout last year with 53 pages of idea's not one single DEV or Mod even recognized it or even commented in it.
Personally before this game dies I would have loved a new area of the LZ just like the new DZ area;s.
None of it is going to happen they are winding this game down for The Division 2 .
Effective two way communication requires a transmitter and a receiver. You must speak and listen. It was clear in the PTS process the Devs weren't listening. And now to hear a statement that they didn't realize players wanted more story content? Oh come on! That just boggles the mind! The transmit but they don't receive. Even the devs that watch the forums like Gabe and Mattsotcha, they have impediments to communication, because they often perceive the transmitter as whining (shoot we accuse each other of this), or present an option or suggestion that is outside their ability to consider.
Doesn't seem to matter at this point. I like to play the campaign, it's my favorite activity in the game. The campaign solo is frustrating right now. I am enjoying GR:W, have been playing both Solo and Coop.
Contracts on DZ rogues is a WICKED idea. Like it a LOT. You gotta give the rogue players something in exchange though, I mean we are, ahem THEY are, running ALL the riskt after all.Originally Posted by demon2blade Go to original post
Respect to the OP, but, this is another fruitless "ideas" thread that will be of no consequence. If we're lucky, some CM will come and copy-paste the usual "I'll pass this along to the team" message. You guys should know better by now. I guess we all need stuff to pass the time now, don't we?
Well I'm at the office and I'm just putting ideas upOriginally Posted by vvhorus Go to original postIf nothing else it makes me want to go home and play, which I haven't been able to do since last week due to a MOUNTAIN of work. Will game tonight though, want to try a killer build I've come up with in LS, see if it works.
As for the possibility of any of these actually happening.... Slim, I know. Which is why I tried to think of things that would take VERY LITTLE developer time. In case anything sticks.
More stash space. Better use of stash space.Originally Posted by LepantoESP Go to original post
The ability to re-calibrate weapon mods.
The ability to put any appearance on any piece of armor(alpha bridge looks like striker)
More weapon/armor sets.
Dual Pistols
2nd weapon slot used for something other than a gun(electronics suite? Heavy armor?)
Weapons that are so large they take up both weapon slots.
Different Ammo types
Appearance change vendor
Add hunter AI to all missions at Tier 5.
Add hunter bosses to underground.
Randomize resource locations in Survival.
Randomize landmarks in Survival
Add new weapon Talents
Add new world tier
Add higher iLVL (300?)
Run missions backwards(I know that sounds cheesy, but would change the way we approach each situation).
Add Underground modifiers to regular missions for more bonuses.
