I've been fighting Warlords all day and it seems impossible to dodge Warlord's headbutt. I tried different directions, dodging early, dodging as soon as he activates headbutt, keeping distance. No matter what the headbutt always connects. So Warlords literally just spam headbutt + light attack infinitely and there's nothing me as a Conqueror can do about it.
Am I missing something, or is it actually impossible to dodge the headbutt as Conqueror?![]()
All I would say is keep distance and anticipate it. Maybe charge your heavy and dodge back when it happens, then let fly.
Also if they connect with the headbutt into light attack, does the time frame allow you to guard break them? They may not be expecting it.
I have not played with the conqueror enough to know his/her in's and out's but have found I have to just hit every now and again and keep my distance during a fight.
Warlord's headbutt is obscenely overpowered, right now. Dodging it is incredibly inconsistent. It's both an extremely tight window and the animation is blatantly lying to you, so you can't even trust your eyes. The headbutt actually reaches out about five feet further than it shows, and tracks incredibly well. If the Warlord turtles and headbutts all match, you basically can't win. Your only hope is to throw attacks at him and hope he just doesn't manage to react to enough of them for you to get the kill.
There is no way to deal with it. Like zone attack PK, like light attack of PK. Like zone attacks of warden/warlord/orothi. All this ******** should be erased from game, and it should be do very soon.Originally Posted by Erindor Go to original post
There's absolutely no way to interrupt a headbutt except for starting a light attack right before he starts his headbutt, and that's not even a reliable strategy.Originally Posted by Dude_of_Valor Go to original post
I suppose I could try harder to keep my distance to give me more time to dodge the headbutt, but It's hard in a small arena. You didn't mention how often, if ever, you successfully dodged a headbutt as conqueror though, so I'm not really convinced that keeping distance would help. But I'll try harder, thanks.
From the receiving end of it Its just as easily dodged as a conq front dash bash or nobushi kick from 2 fa combo. Sidedodging is easy and reliable, but you only can go light from there or parry warlords if he goes light himself. It is possible to dodge backwards, it will grant you free gb but its inconsistent as hell and the window looks really small.
i CANNOT sidestep this move for the life of me, but i CAN backstep it, which seems completely counter-intuitive, but it;'s the only thing i've found that works.Originally Posted by Erindor Go to original post
The warlord headbutt is something you can easily dodge away by zoning, warlord has horrible range, as a conq you have better range, and you do more dmg.
You need to anticipate, and punish. You can punish the headbutt, or you can just zone it out.
It's a waiting game, the one who attacks first should lose a huge chunk of health.
That's how the matchup works.
Wut ?? What game you are playing ?!Originally Posted by SuperJoule Go to original post
Conqueror uncharged heavy hit for 23, warlord 30, the charged one .... well if you manage to hit with that you dont have to worry about him cause his reaction is low.
light is 12 if dont remember wrong , warlord 15
Not to mention the fast area attack that hit for 25 XD
conqueror one .... dont even matter cause its useless
