If For Honor didn't require an online connection, and we weren't forced to connect to Ubisoft servers before playing PvP through P2P, we wouldn't have so many issues. We are forced to use P2P connections for multiplayer games, but on top of this we are forced to bounce off Ubisoft servers so that they can keep track of us. This infrastructure design is just asking for problems.

Dedicated servers would keep players connected without host migration or server crashes when hosts quit, but it would bring its own issues to the table. Players with weaker connections to the servers would suffer because their blocks and parries would have to bounce off the server before it registers on their opponents side. Players with better connections would win. I personally would prefer this over the garbage experience we have now.

If Ubisoft would get rid of the always online requirement and allow us to play P2P without the need for a Ubisoft connection aswell, we MIGHT get a better connection then we currently do. I feel that this always online requirement plays a role in the issues we face as of right now. I can't think of any other P2P game that has so many issues. But then again none of those games have online registration requirements before gaining access to the game. Just allow us a straight forward P2P without the Ubisoft server requirement.

Ubisoft CEOs needs to quit being so greedy with their choices or their games will continue to suffer in the long run. For Honor has so much potential, it's sad that they saw it as a cash grab rather then a new franchise with a promising future. They need to make some serious changes to this game. A large amount of my friends and myself all bought this game at launch, I'm the only one who still plays today and it was just released... Sad that I can barely play it aswell. Serious changes, because this game is about to fail.
