Good day my fellow warriors,

With the large amount of complaints regarding newbies fighting higher gearscore players i came up with an idea to improve the overall gear progression and stats gained from it.

To get the most annoying things out of the way first:
  • Gearscore will remain.
  • The max gearscore will be increased to 120.
  • A new tier of equipment will be introduced: Gold tier.
  • All gear (gray-gold) will be able to reach max gearscore.


The gear progression:
Gear will now come in all color types, regardless of (prestige) level.
At level one you will be able to get gray gear, with a smaller chance of gaining higher tier gear.
On prestige level 1 blue gear will become as common as gray, at prestige level 3 purple will become as common as gray and blue, and at prestige level 5 gold gear will become as common as the other 3 types.
Your overall level will determine what upgrade value the gear you find has.
(Gray gear will always have the upgrade tier when finding gear on a certain level.)

Gear, regardless of color, will now range from level 1-20, with a total bonus percentage of 100%.
A 100% stat will be the same strength as a current stat at max level.

Now in regards to thr gear values:
All values will be written down as fully upgraded gear (level 20).

Gray: Hybrid tier.
  • Stat 1: 33.3%
  • Stat 2: 33.3%
  • Stat 3: 33.3%


Blue: Balance tier.
  • Stat 1: 50%
  • Stat 2: 50%
  • Stat 3: 0%


Purple: Specialized tier.
  • Stat 1: 75%
  • Stat 2: 25%
  • Stat 3: 0%


Gold: Pure tier.
  • Stat 1: 100%
  • Stat 2: 0%
  • Stat 3: 0%


With the new amount of upgrading possible with such a set-up, i also propose a new way to do this.
The new upgrading system will only take armor scraps of your faction into account, and no longer Steel.

Steel could be spend on other bonuses (possible new ones) like more armor drops, increased inventory, champ status, new emotes and executions, new emblems, more/ custom color schemes.

It would give ubi the option to implement more small updates, low level players an option to be competitive more easly, more build diversity, and for people to geat up a hero for tests even though the chosen hero may be level one.
