    Texture LOD bug

I've frequently encountered a bug where nearby ground textures do not load the high res version until I stand on top of them and look straight down directly at them.

It instead only shows the ultra low res long range LOD version of the texture.

It is inconsistent when this happens. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all and sometimes the entire area around me has the low res textures. It could be related to approaching the area from high up in the air but this is just a wild guess.

I'm using a GTX 970 and have texture setting on High so it should't be a VRAM issue at least based on the usage estimation in the graphics settings menu.

I'm experiencing the same thing, when for example driving a car after just a few meters I have to use the breaks and wait a few seconds for it to load. I didn't have this problem in beta.

    I'm not alone!

I was starting to think I was the only one with this problem after open beta.

A temporary fix for me was limiting the FPS to 30. A bit pants but I'd rather 30 fps than a blurry brown ground texture.

I saw there are new nvidia drivers, I'm at work at the moment but hoping this will fix my issue.

    (GTX 970 btw)

I am seeing this too , the FPS limit to 30 frames did not work.

Out of interest do you have GSync enabled? I disabled mine prior to limiting the FPS to 30.

I've just installed the new drivers so might not be able to test this theory if the drivers have fixed the issue for me.
