Okay so I've been seeing this for some time and frequent the forums every once in a while, but haven't seen anything about it. I'm not saying its a bug. I'm not saying its broken. I just need an answer. So I noticed awhile back like 1st or 2nd week of game that it seems the Valk spear can go through my shield as a conqueror? I thought "hmm maybe I wasn't blocking. Maybe I missed my block" then it kept happening unless I put my shield what seems like AT THE SAME TIME HE ATTACKS THAT SIDE. Like parrying can be fine too, but I just can't keep my block on the same side as a valk attacks by default and it work.

Example if you need one: I'm blocking left already when valk decides to hit my left side or attack from their right. Their attack goes through my shield.

Followed me thus far? Sweet.

So, I never played valk so I though. IT HAS TO BE IN THE MOVELIST! Like my superior block!

... its not. NO WHERE DOES IT SAY IT DOES THIS. Again, bare with me. I'm not saying Valk's are OP. I'm not saying its a bug. But can someone please explain? Has anyone (any shield user as I think all shield users are the same in terms of blocking I THINK) have this happen? Or is it just me and my delusions of grandeur?

At least with Shugoki it says UNINTERRUPTIBLE STANCE. Clearly pointing it out. I just need an answer please.

I don't have a video, but I guess next time I face a valk I'll press record on my PS4. Just never really been bothered to record lol. Like I said its not like its breaking my game. Just a curious factor. As you can see it took me awhile to post this on the forums.

Never experienced shield punching as a valk? I'm not saying you won't notice it, but I feel it would be more noticeable to shield users as they are taking dmg. and honestly like I stated. It could be me. i have no idea. I don't drink so I can't be hammered and I don't get stoned so XD again maybe I'm just making stuff up. I HAVE NO IDEA. but at least you're a valk player so whatever you give is good too.

well i never experienced punching through a block that was already in position.

yes, the ocassional clank followed by a hit when they switch position or try to parry but not like you describe. maybe i am not understanding properly

No, you got it and yea I tried to make it easy to follow lol, but its just that. Like if I block from a side before you attack that same side it goes through. But if I switch to the side you're attacking it typically doesn't go through. Parries work fine (assuming I hit the button right, but that is my fault lol), but yea I feel like I've been experiencing punch throughs.

It's possible to fail a block if you over hit your attack buttons, I see people do it all the time and it's easy to do in the heat of battle to cue an attack in especially if you're trying to parry.

It may not be the case at all here but there are variables that make that happen, I've broken through many people trying to parry or mistakenly parry. You'll probably find Harrasser based characters are good at making you screw up your finger work.

As most people have said a video would be a great moment to demonstrate what's going on so if you get a chance again I totally recommend it.

Yea, I'll try to remember next time lol and yea I know if you fail or don't connect with even a GB your shield goes down, but its not the case. I'm not gonna say I turtle, but I do play a defense class so I tend to block MOST of the time and it just kapoots XD
