Please make playing the PvP in this game a rewarding loot experience. Remember, Generosity?
Knowing that players can get to max LS rank without a single exotic is pathetic really. Then to only have a small chance for it to be a usable exotic and not any of the ****-tier exotics. THEN for that item to have good enough rolls to use.
It's nearly impossible. And it's not fun.
Im level 28 or 29 and I have got 3 exotic drops from last stand caches so far, but I do have some friends who are at the same level as I am and have not got any...RNG is not favoring them I guess lol
Turning up the drop rate also makes the "exotic" rare weapons become common and everyone has them remind you of another game....Destiny.
When people get on here and grind this game eventually they get exotics, but everyone wants to hop on and play a few hours and have everything, or say I spent the weekend in the DZ and didn't get the hungry hog...ok so? I spent weeks in there hours upon hours....I think I have like 40 days put into this game and the only reason I do have the Hog is because someone gave me a dupe they got.
Keep the drop rate the same, don't change it because then everyone has the same thing and they rare guns just become common
The whole "carrot on a stick" analogy comes to mind. It's definitely there, but I would argue that the carrot is just a little too far out there to make keeping your eye on the prize (and continue grinding) worthwhile. I don't see anything wrong with these items being more common than they are. Especially considering they don't make a build leaps and bounds better than another. Except maybe the MDR, but I suspect that'll get a nerf before a drop increase.
As someone else pointed out not only do you have the incredibly low chances of getting said items, but then another incredibly low chance of it having talents that don't make it trash.
I'd argue that if drop % increase isn't on the table, another means to keep people incentivized would be a good idea. Perhaps Exotic Caches from the vendor for 1500-2000 Phoenix Credits? It's a hefty investment for a chance at something you want, but for someone who has done 100+ Lexington runs or 100+ Survival runs it at least feels like there's a light at the end of the tunnel.
