Am I the only one who's noticed that people who dk good generally only use one moveset or will LITERALLY spam the same thing over and over again? Why? Becayse Ubisoft won't listen and think they know what theyre doing when it comes to balance. When you make a multiplayer game.. You DON'T make ANY move that a player can benefit from abusing. A player should be punished. That is the FIRST STEP in balancing a multiplayer game to make it actually playable. Nobody should be allowed to exploit anything in your game to make it easy and use less brain power to win. I can sit there and thwart off every one of the characters attacks except for the stupidly riciulous nearly impossible to counteract abilities like unblockable shoulder bashes and moves to quick to dodge yet are unblockable just because they pressed certain buttons. Examples = practically all of Berserkers move sets.. Just too fast quick attack qll day you never lose. The wardens shoulder bash just heav attack shoulder bash into heavy attack shoulder bash etc etc. Peacekeepers guard break lawbringers shoulder bash into guard break into un breakable (is counteractable.. Good luck) Valkyries chain attack that knocks you down and literally takes away half your health. Orochi and kensei dodge attacks. The big samurais pick up and squeeze move (no patience to go find the names) the raider throw so on and so forth. I loved this game the concept of each individual attack in a combat game being important and blockable and not just mashing buttons but actualy dynamic combat. That all started to go away when i started to win and started fscing people who just knew what their character could do and would simply use the same moveset that i have to be perfect and precise in order to counteract. Dumb. I should be facing someone to see if im better at the fghting style of my character compared to the fighting style of theres. Not playing just to see if this time I can counteract THIS character's cheesy crap. And it's just dumb that such a great game was ruined by people who will do anytjing ro "win". (but is it really winning when youre simply abusing the way the game works?) I still play the game because i will occasionally get the person who is trying to confuse me and slip in sneaky attacks or are prepared for the attack im about to throw and we have a good fight and it's fun but Im SOO tired of people who know what to spam on certain characters and a abuse it. Get over yourself. You know it's more fun to legitimately fight someone yet your pride that comes from winning is to big for you that you have to just spam something that would be impossible even for the person spamming it to counteract. And no I will not do it as well because I have done it in each character yiu just spam a couple certain movesets and easily win. It was not fun and I felt like I was cheating. The problem does not lie in the plsyers though Ubisoft needs to recognize these abilities and move sets thaot are just too op and tonw them down and bring it back to a fighting game not a knowledge-of-the-buttons game.
I kind of agree with what the OP is saying (despite that damned terrible paragraph) but at the same time if the same moveset over and over is working, I normally don't change it up either until my opponent learns to stop/counter it.
That's not this game, that's every game I play. Why? Because that's how strategy works lol. You attempt a strat, the opponent attempts to counter, if countered a new strat is needed or the the person countering wins. If not countered, continue on as your strategy is sound and will win.
Do you even tactics? =)
The only spammables that are annoying are the ones that are easy to use and hard to punish, such as the conq's shield bash, warlord's headbutt, warden's shoulder charge, etc... These examples will be getting tweaked, I have no doubt.
Everything else you listed is easily countered. Like your first example was the zerker? Really? He sucks at high level, he really has nothing to open up turtles. He's good for destroying noobs and people with no defence or for ganking in 4v4, that's it. You're other examples I could go into too, but really it's just a L2P issue. You can find counters for all those with a simple search of these forums. Once you learn the counters, they change their tactics.
Explain to me how the AI punishes these moves all the time.Originally Posted by Bob__Gnarly Go to original post
You want me to explain how the AI that knows your inputs is able to counter these moves? Is that what you're asking?Originally Posted by TCTF_SWAT Go to original post
Well the AI can do it consistently because when the player presses a button that input is read by the AI instantly. Most people don't have the reaction times of a computer either.Originally Posted by TCTF_SWAT Go to original post
It is humanly possible to react to these moves in anticipation, I never said it was impossible, just that it's annoying as the moves are easily spammed, but hard to counter, which makes them annoying to face and not that fun either.
