    Helicopter controls

When will we be able to fly left and right and not just turn. It's a huge pain when in tight situations or when trying to be precise with movement. If we wanted an air vehicle that would just turn when input is applied we would all just use airplanes. I believe we are missing a fundamental control option with the helicopters.

The helicopter control is really bad in this game. Once you get the hang of it, it's manageable, but really not great or enjoyable. There's been plenty of complaining about the choppers, but I'm afraid the Devs will never do anything about it. I bought the game, I like the game, but I'm super disappointed in the choppers. I'd rather fly the planes in this game, and that's saying something. One more thing OP, be prepared for people to come into your thread and tell you that you're just not good at flying, there's nothing wrong with the choppers.

These controls, ARE A JOKE!, just take GTAV and JC3 as a prime example how to do it.

And i dont care if its day two, this is the sh!t we got in our discs, that beeing said, the developers did not give two rats about the game function or mechanics. Its a 60$ BETA

I actually 100% disagree. I think the helicopter controls are just fine. Real helicopters cannot "strafe" left or right. They have to turn. So you are wrong on that front. I think you guys just need more stick time. Push up on the left stick to tilt down, once it gets up to speed, let go. You will continue to go forward. To go up, just tilt back to gain elevvation, and push left and right to go left and right. When you want to slow down, let go of the throttle. It's really easy once you learn that.

Now the airplanes, that needs to have a left and right rudder. Other than that, its fine.

When you are in a tight spot, its still not that hard to manuever. Just tilting and throttling where needed can get into that tight spot. I've done it over and over, and I love the helicopter. I'm sorry if this is a "get better" post, but I was THE SAME WAY during the beta. I HATED the copter controls, but now I prefer the chopper over anything else to get around. Just practice. They're not changing the controls, so just practice and get better.

Its and ARCADEGAME, not a simulator, ive played/used several simulators in my life, and i played tonnes of arcadegames as well. This mechanic regarding helos are broken, just deal with it and fix it.

Of course they wont fix it, what do you expect from ubi?

They just grab your money and run, i get more annoyed about this company more and more. This was the last time i buy a tripple A game from ubi on release, i can buy their games when they are in the 10-20$ bin. Thank god for HZD, how is it possible that a company like Ubi could ever release a such of good game?, its beyond me. The must have been sleeping. Cause that game was 100% through and through. No crashes, no bugs, and lots of content with NO PAYWALLS!

of course they can "strafe", if by that you mean going sideways. it is just that, at higher speed you would either have not enough contrl authority on the pedals to stop it from rotating into direction of flight, or worse, you put too much stress on the helicopter and damage it.

the mechanics in the game are just awkward and bad!!

the people are complaining because it is NOT HARD TO MASTER at all. the helicopter fly as if there were on rails or if "child safety" was engaged.
there is no reason, why they implemented these two flight modes, which somehow magically switch depending on speed. if the wanted to make it accesible, they could have the "auto-hover" mode activate via key press or soemthing, but not have it the default control...

right now, the helis are "akward to learn, easy to master, while still being akward"
