Worth getting on PC? Just curious

During the open beta I turned everything to ultra and I was getting anywhere from 25-60fps which I found shocking.

    My system specs:
    16gb ram
    I5 6600k
    GTX 1070

I had to turn on v-sync since I don't have a g-sync monitor. Set my cap to 60 then turned a few settings to very high instead of ultra then I saw a solid 60 FPS.

For this type of game I was expecting better performance. Is Wildlands optimized yet. If not will a driver update fix it or should I wait.

I found the game to be fun but I don't have any friends who are willing to get it so I'll be stuck single player and randoms (which wasn't fun).

Expecting to run a game such as GRW at 1080p at ultra settings with OP's computer is absolutely sily. Hell, your CPU is now 1.5 generation behind, your GPU is at best mid-to-high range card and while 16GB RAM is good enough it does not tell much since you need expensive DD4 RAM modules for them to make a difference. All in all, OP does not have a computer to run 1080p on Ultra.

GRW was running solid in closed beta with issues related large to FPS drops in certain places and huge CPU utilization. Open beta definitely fixed CPU utilization and also improved stability of performance with less severe and less frequent FPS drops. Considering size of game world and viewing distance, GRW is running very well.

Well I have only logged a few hours in the Full release. Loved the Open Beta. I have all settings on high on an ageing system (some just turned off like SSAO and Blur+Bloom as I don't like that) but this is just the opening area so I'm not sure how much further the impact will be within different areas. I ran the benchmark and was getting around 52-60FPS. In game just didn't monitor the FPS at all as it felt fine, no stutters or judders. I'm usually quite perceptive to this and very fussy. I like a game to look good but also have a balance of performance. I think it is doing fine for a day 1 release. NVIDIA (my flavour of card) are supposed to be releasing a GRWL optimised driver, I'm sure this will help wrestle a few frames back. Also hopefully some extra patches from Ubisoft will also help with refining the performance. The benchmark showed my GPU hitting near 100% usage, CPU around 40-60% I'm running this on an SSD and it seems buttery smooth to me.

To answer the question is it worth getting, that is only a call that can be made by yourself. I just wouldn't go off all the reviews, we all see things differently. I like to make my own mind up.

Sp is fun to orientate yourself but yes MP is where it is at. All you need to do is post on the forum. Stipulate you are looking for players and detail how you desire to play the game, your timezone location and Platform. I'm sure you will have lots of people who are keen to play.

Is it optimised? I imagine any game can always do with further optimisation especially on release. There is also a fair share of bugs but nothing game breaking.
