    Game mode suggestion

    I call it "War."

Its Dominion with gear stats and feats turned off. To add to it, you can only pick your factions characters, and be teamed with only faction members. So 4 samurai vs 4 vikings. The gamemode itself is a regular 4 vs 4 mode with duel rules turned on and has respawns. Including captains, shield bots, and archers. The captains lead the charge to the middle zone, the shield bots guard points, and archers spawn at key positions around the map near their factions spawn area.

Captains only stick with the minions, and have a number assigned to them so they cant over populate the middle. So lets say there cant be more than 3 captains at a time on each team. Apply the same rule to Shield bots, and Archers. Shield bots only appear on captured points but not the middle point. And spawn in 4's and take a formation around the point entrances. Archers spawn on those side paths that are often to the middle and used to side track objectives, and attack those who enter thier line of fire.

    Here is a mock up.

I also want to add removal of the blocking UI, so realistic settings like in the campaign but I think locking to 4 classes is hardcore enough for people.
I dunno I would like this mode without the direction indicators. Maybe make it a dual mode option and call it "Campaign". Where the only difference is the UI being turned off except for health bars.

So while expanding on "War" and giving context.

You are locked to playing 4 characters for whatever faction you chose. However, this mode you have double war asset gain at the end of matches, which should allow more aggressive play on the meta game. I personally want 1.5 Higher exp gain to reward people for playing a challenging gamemode.

This would give incentive to people to get to know their faction better, and give a serious immersion for people who are looking for that experience. Because it bugs the **** out of me when I play Kensei and the soldiers are viking skinned. I am also going out on a limb and say, when all of us picked our faction. We picked the vanguard to our faction as a starting point and then branched out to new characters.

So what I am saying is that I made an educated guess that peoples mains are characters in their faction. Like I picked Samurai because I like Shugoki and Kensei from the betas. If people liked Warden and Peace keeper I would assume they picked Knights instead of Vikings for their faction. Now I could be entirely wrong which is bound to happen.

But the 1.5 gain rate would allow people to grind faster for their mains and get them better gear and aesthetics in a shorter amount of time. Also it would be a nice change of pace for a game mode and give you an excuse to use those assets from the story mode. Effectively making all those assets more validated because I know people who still haven't touched story.

Now my suggestion is a bit rough around the edges but im sure people can find ways to improve it to be balanced better.

Great idea! No UI might be a little too far, but I love the faction war part of it. This is especially fun when you realize that AI respond to chat commands, and placing them in strategic spots makes for good incentive to kill them. I do think that there should be at least 5 archers in one spot because they aren't very dangerous in small numbers.

I like it, but I'm against the faction lock. My two favs are in different factions from each other, are you saying I can never play one of them in this mode?

No I am agianst placing them ourselves because people will always find a way to **** it up.
Fixed positions and having them cover objective advances is more useful instead of people fighting over bot placement.
It will happen, and people will just find ways to make them useless.

    Yes

Though this brings up the question. If you picked knights and only play viking classes, Why not just pick vikings?
We can change our factions at any time, so why not just pick the faction you play the most of?

The mode is designed for people who want to take the meta game seriously, even though its a flawed system. It's still a system.

My main is raider, but when I started I really liked the lolbringer (still play him a bit) so I picked knights. And I can't switch factions because I'd forfeit all rewards for the rest of the season. Also vikings QQ a lot, not sure if I could handle it.

Ah yes, the promise of free boxes.
Yeah the meta game isn't developed enough in my opinion for people to worry about faction rewards right now. It will matter more in the future, but this is the first season, and the first season is more of a test bed for future updates. It is like this for any multiplayer focused game, so don't take faction stuff seriously as of yet. If my suggestion does become reality and the experience boost gain is increased.

You will earn more steel in a day than waiting for the end of the round and get more boxes than ones that are entitled to you because you have a knight sticker attached to your profile. This idea is designed more for the long term in mind, which will give a bit of the boost to the early participants,
