Stopping the Convoy | Forums

I was wondering if any of you have a good tactics to stop the convoy? I don't want to put mines on road, cause I'm afraid of killing civilians. I believe long range shot, to kill the driver don't work as the windshield is bulletproof (or am i wrong here?). Do any of you guys have a good and effective tactics doing this?

Its possible to shot through the windhield i think (with bigger caliber like sniper)

Ill do it like this way:
block the street
destroy the companion cars
And shot the driver or a bit on engine of the car.

land the big helicopter on the road, a little up the road sideways in front of it. Land mines, c4, run off the road using a vehicle. All work with varying degrees of success!

Use vehicles.

1) If you upgrade your Rebel Ops so that you can request a Helicopter on demand, or know which safe houses have helicopters, they are the best way in my opinion.

Just fly above the convoy, position the side of your helicopter that has the 2 gunners pointed at the convoy, and then order attack.

By just maintaining a decent chopper path around the convoy, your AI gunners will take down the trucks and eventually the convoy vehicle without too much hassle - more often than not the convoy vehicle stops well before having it's health eliminated.

2) Rely on vehicles. The heavier, the better. Ram into the rear vehicle while ordering assault, will take that vehicle out quickly.

At that point, focus fire on the convoy and it'll stop quickly. The lead defense vehicle always seems to drive way off into the distance.


Doing anything on the ground as a foot soldier, relying on explosives, leaves too high a risk of you killing civies or blowing up the truck itself.

We stole 2 vehicles from passerbyes and blocked the road. The took a truck with a mini-gun from the rebels and parked it behind the vehicles we used for the road block. The lit the the convoy up with the mini-gun as soon as they were in range. Used the mini-gun to mop up the guys that jumped off the vehicles. You have to be careful not to destroy the Food or gas truck. Then tag the truck and your good to go.
