I choked on my coffee reading someone say "wardens on the list" lol.
Small straight forward moveset with easy chain combos. A built in fast attack from high that can also parry. A super fast and decent damage zone attack. A 50/50 that can double as another 50/50 lol. Yea, they're real rough to play well.
Y'know, the game already identifies which kits are easy and which are hard to master.
Lawbringer is hard to master and perform well with in combat with capable opponents.
Warden is not.
You didn't read the question asked. You just think you read the question asked.Originally Posted by Munktor Go to original post
It is not about how easy the character is, but how far you can go with him at higher level. The ceiling is reached when your skill as a player improves but you do not perform better with this character, because all options are somehow already explored. It is not related to the difficulty to play him as a beginner.Originally Posted by Munktor Go to original post
A typical example of this is Ryu in Street Fighter, often recommended for beginners thanks to strong fundamentals and well rounded moveset, but it still requires a lot of skill and knowledge to perform well at a competitive level.
Nobushi and Valkyrie. Nobushi highest ceiling for sure because she is difficult to master, and has many advanced techniques that many people rarely utilize. All the other warriors are pretty linear.
Lawbringer doesn't have a high ceiling, he is just completely under powered which makes him hard to use against decent people lol.
Here's the question:Originally Posted by ChapelCloth Go to original post

Sure Warden might be the easiest to jump into and be decent at but at higher tournament levels it requires a much deeper understanding of the character and timing. I can see Warden having a high ceiling. Now for example the ceiling on a Berserker is a lot lower because no matter how well you play him you just can't compete with the defense Meta. The top 2 right now are Conqueror and Warden because of this.Originally Posted by Munktor Go to original post
Agree, highest ceiling and difficulty are not the same. But there is a class that's proven to be both of those, the peace keeperOriginally Posted by Munktor Go to original post
I did misunderstand the discussion then. My apologies.Originally Posted by Apaolo_ Go to original post
Good question.
It's hard for me to say the Nobushi since it's my main character but I have to admit that she has a lot of tools to learn and she's definitely a character with a large learning curve (especially when you start using hidden stance and vortex).
I would personally say Valkyrie and Berserker.
The Valkyrie because even her B&B requires some practice to get used to and she has so many mix up that you have to spend a lot of time learning to be a master with her.
I also think that a master Valk is probably one of the scariest thing in this game.
The Berserker because most assassins are hard to play and he's (at least imo) the one that has the highest learning curve. Similarly to the Valk he has so many mix up, feint, variation in his game, definitely a deep character.
