@kharneth88 I prefer boosting/defending the zone closest to the opponents' spawn on an assassin. Lots of teams will panic and try to come in force giving easy revenge pops trying to take it back, and a kill streak will unlock feats fast. (berzerkers get 1 renown per tick when boosting the zone)

There are a bunch of different ways to gain renown. Classes don't gain large amounts of renown from every activity, each class has things it gets extra for. That is part of understanding the different roles that classes play and all players should (at least attempt to) understand the classes that they play. Which is what the point of this thread was: KS'ing is not an effective way to help your team succeed.

Not my fault I got my orders. Order said to kill 50 ppl, so I'm gonna tag 50 ppl wether you like it or not.

My favourite thing ever is when I'm duelling someone in elimination or brawl and some brainless idiot on my team thinks they're amazing and start attacking, giving my opponent revenge, get knocked down, then they die, then I die. If someone on my team tries to 'help' a 1v1 I just run away now. Should be that when you parry a secondary/tertiary attacker they lose ALL their stamina. Sick of idiots thinking this is a hack and slash game.

That, and trying to do contracts/unlock feats, are what inspired my rant...lol

Actually, the order "25 takedowns" is to take down 25 opponents. There is a difference between a takedown and a kill in this game. If I am separating myself from the group to complete my "8 kills without dying" there are 2 reason for you to come steal my kills:

1.) You were ignorant in regards to: the difference between kills and takedowns, and the benefits that a skilled opponent gains in a situation where they are outnumbered. (Anyone that has read this thread can no longer claim ignorance to these things.)

    2.) You're trying to be a d-bag.

Once again, KS'ing is not the same thing as sharing kills, nor is it the same thing as saving a struggling teammate.

i just can't handle ******s who think changing attack direction matters in a gank. here i am, fighting the bad guy, and these stupid ****wads come running in RIGHT BEHIND ME and hit me with their running attack, trying to hit my bad guy. of course, they only hit me, so the bad guy busts me in the face with a heavy. it doesn't end there though... captain dumb**** is standing to my right and thinks the best course of action is a series of left side heavies, interrupting me constantly, regardless of the fact that the enemy is still locked on me and right side heavies or even top heavies will be just as effective or ineffective at this point. well at least he didn't get me kill...sonofab****. he just stunned me again and the bad guy killed me. thanks teammate.

then there are the kill stealers who DO NOT HELP you fight. they will wait until you get the enemy to 1 bar and then heavy into your fight and take the kill. these guys are NOT helping the team, they are only participating in ******baggery. they could be... you know... actually fighting someone, but they're content to stand and watch until you've done most of the work for them.

the worst offenders are those who will run past downed, revivable allies to jump into a 1v1 that a teammate is already winning. the ally is clear and can be revived, but it's clearly SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT for these *******es to run up and just SPAM heavy attacks, which end up giving the enemy revenge, and then ANOTHER bad guy shows up and revenge+helper team mop the floor with the two of you because they split you up, when 3 of you would have had a better chance.

ugh... the CoD kids really piss me off.

@OP: I certainly appreciate where you're coming from and understand your frustration, but the only way you will get this sort of teamwork and cooperation consistently is to setup a premade group where everyone knows their role and is willing to play as a team. In a PUG, you will invariably encounter other players who like griefing, or just don't care how their play affects others. Save yourself the frustration and learn to accept the realities of online mutiplayer gaming.

AFAIK, if you have a "8 kills without dying" order, you will still complete it, even though you don't actually land the killing blow the 8 times. As long as you're helping killing a person it's gonna count. So helping gaining order completion and sharing the renown (yes, you get less than if it's 1v1) is actually a good thing. UNLESS you're one of those ******s who can't shut a guy down who's revenging.
